What happened to OT's??? 4 goals up at 3/4 time and lost by 8 points....
Relegation race is down to 3, OT, Collegians & Bernies. With OT to meet Bernies in the last week.

SKOB already gone and Nathan Pope showed the Collegians faithful why he topped the VAFA worst blokes list.

Enthralling 2 weeks ahead, and yes, the Bernard's/SKOB double drop is still alive!!

I think we under-estimated the ticker of the OMs who needed to win to secure their place next year. Breeze advantage couldn't make up for a lack of accountability and desire at the footy, as well as some poor conversion. Full credit to OMs who recovered from a 40 point deficit just before half-time and simply ran harder and further when it counted. They thoroughly deserved to win.

OT's momentarily have their destiny out of their control. Results this weekend may hand it back, but it'd be fair to say the rooms were deadly silent at 4.50pm on Saturday, as the trap door is set, and we're standing on it at present.

I doubt Trinity will be anything less than ferocious against Xavs this week - here's hoping they can pull one out of the bag, to keep Bernies in the mix.

No races to distract me, such a shame, but it was raining goals in a 'tight' game just how I like it with Old Ivanhoe blasting away and then Caulfield fighting back in the last qtr when they are were 13 goals down, game me quite a bit of work, especially with Old Ivanhoe refusing to kick easy goals but instead loved playing with it in front of goal passing from one side to another

And no problems with the tree
Eddiesmith you are a cockjaw. Are you ready to change your pommy insecure opinion of Ricky Ponting yet or...?

Well said, Ponting's innings was one of the greatest ever played under immense pressure. Barely gave them a chance. Eddie Smith, you are a tool.

Changes to Aus lineup: Katich out for playing yet another crap shot(can't handle Flintoff), in: Hodge, as Flintoff doesn't trouble the right handers as much, sorry to see Dizzy finish up in such a heap after a stellar career.
Perhaps Mike Hussey in for Hayden who has lost the plot! If Clarke doesn't come up, who else can they bring in, no doubt someone will be plucked out of the NSW 5th XI to play for Australia.

Umpire Steve Bucknor is blind & deaf and should be sacked, did anyone see the Martyn LBW?? Bring back Dickie Bird.

Ashley Giles is a dud, my Nanna could have got more turn out of the rough! As for Vaughan and captaincy, if you are defending 423, why would you have 2 cover fielders in place, try the slips corden where the catches will go? Even more dumbfounding is the fact that he kept bowling Giles.

I thought this was VAFA discussion, not cricket???

Anyway, you want to whinge about umpires? What about Billy "I will never give an Aussie out LBW" Bowden? Dont see anyone complaining about him? Oh thats right, he is the Aussies only hope of victory
Look mate, if you're going to use the old "I thought this was VAFA discussion, not cricket???" line then you'd BEST REMOVE THE PHOTO OF THE CRICKETER UNDER YOUR NAME. You are by far the biggest imbecile I've ever come into contact with.

Notice how Eddie has deleted his Ricky Ponting can't throw, can't bat etc... comments.

Also, ask Warney what he thinks of Billy Bowden and LBW. Has had about 5 plumb LBW's this series and Billy's response "No!, No!"

I was forced to delete them

As for Warney, well if he didnt appeal so often to catches at short leg and caught behind when the keeper or fieldsman dont even appeal, therefore its obviously not out, yet he still abuses the umpires doesnt help

ondee, we have a cricket forum on this site for cricket discussion

Eddie

1. LBW law clearly states that if there is any element of doubt, then it's not out. As an umpire of sorts, you should know that.

Damien Martyn almost middled the ball with his bat and was given out LBW by Bucknor, mistakes are made by umpires.

At the end of the day, if Vaughan knew how to go for the kill, England would have won, all day he captained as though he half wanted to win and half wanted to not lose, English pessimism at it's best. Don't think Ponting or Steve Waugh would have had a single player in a non-catching position.

England have played as well as they can, and the series is 1-1, imagine if Aus get out of 2nd gear....

Any news in VAFA circles....?

Eddie,

BADLUCK! Vaghen's fields placements made Ponting look like a good captain.

On another note, is there anything bigger than a SKOB V Xavier GF? There is one this week.

What happened to MHSOB on the weekend? They had all but assured themsleves of a top 4 finish with a solid win over Old Essendon 2 weeks ago, and then they go and lose to St Bedes who are in the relegation zone... go figure?

Old Essendon are now just 1.4% out of 4th spot and play Mazenond (3rd last) and St Bedes (2nd Last) in the final 2 rounds and should sneak into the finals.

Rumour is that Big Haks is keen to play again too!

Tell me about it B_P!

St. Bedes got the jump early and really were never headed after half-time.

Story goes though is that the home side gained 5 of their best 22 back on the weekend whilst the High lost Pertzel.

Certainly made the drinking afterwards well worth it :p ...the place was still jumping when I left at 6.45!
