One of the most naturally talented sportsmen I’ve ever seen and such a huge influence on my childhood.

There were times when I hated the bloke. As a non Aussie fan he was the bane of my fandom many times and as a commentator and occasionally as a person I just couldn’t stand him.

But on the flip side there was something inherently likeable about him and his genius as a cricketer - even as a slipper and batsman - was unquestionable. More importantly he was a father and hero to three kids who he clearly absolutely adored and this makes me so sad for them. What a massive hole for them to have in their life.

RIP Warnie. One of a kind.
