News VB captain, Dangerfield and Sloane co-vice

From an on-field perspective there is absolutely no difference between appointing one/both of Dangerfield or Sloane as captain now, or making them acting co-captains.

From an off-field perspective there obviously is - which presumably indicates the club feels more confident with VB leading the club off-field than either or both of Dangerfield and Sloane.

Steinfort is our leadership expert isn't he?

He's the guy we brought in for his deep subject matter expertise in the field of leadership? he says onfield is the most important bit, and we retain a guy who won't be onfield but is average anyway?

Yes, I would include both Kornes & Gray in the Power midfield before VB.

Probably something to do with AFL lists though, and not being able to field a player from another club.

Hawks caller into 5AA this morning made a good point, why isn't VB on the bench so he can talk to the players when they come off. Currently we have Phil Harper.

The guy busts his gut every game. Puts his body on the line in marking contests. Helps defensively. Gut runs to provide an option. Captain material.

Although Danger is my favourite player, I an favouring Sloane as the next captain.

I was gonna write something about Dangerfield, but I don't know the full story there so I just left praise for Sloane.

Leadership is where we are lacking. Only a small portion is on field. We know, because we've been told so often, that most of the captains leadership occurs off field. So, amongst these losses, where is the almighty vb. Cameron ling was a good captain at Geelong. Could he find the time to be our captain this year. Sando should have his number, let's give him a bell.
