Look I know this thread will get blocked for being 'negative' but seriously lets take a breath here, and think...

Ratten will come under scrutiny at the year's end, he will be asked to present a gameplan on how this list will get us to top4, but there are questions on the boys resilience. Lets get real here, we have not won a 'come from behind' game in the last quarter, barring the Richmond game. In fact we have gone BACKWARDS in regards to our resilience.

And the team is still JUDDCENTRIC, they all look around wait for Judd to lift the side.

I reckon radical moves be made. Make MURPHY captain, and trade off Gibbs while he still has currency and trade hard with the following Bower, Thornton, Russell, Ellard and Hampson.

Stephen Kernahan, you'll always be one of my football idols. However, you've run your course as club president. Tonight is as much an indictment of the club at the board and presidential level as it is at the coaching or playing level. Thank you for your undying and loyal service to the club over three decades but your time is up.

To the rest of you, I apologize. I've never been more gutted as a Carlton fan than I am tonight. Back when the team was gutted in 2002 I was dealing with the loss of my mother so I was too emotionally caught up in that period of my life to really be as gutted as a number of you rightly were. The past few years, circa 2009 to 2011 were special years for a football club. I traveled to see the team play interstate on a number of occasions including the finals to Sydney and Brisbane. I did not miss a game until this year when other obligations got in the way of going week in, week out. Still I watched eagerly even if after the fact, win or lose. After last week I had a sense of euphoria. That all we needed was to make the finals and someway, somehow we were in with a chance - it's been that type of season. Tonight broke my heart. Tonight I could not handle watching the game in the last quarter. First time in my life I have turned off a Carlton game, even when we were in with a shot at coming back from the dead. But when that final siren sounded the harsh reality set in.

Truly beyond devastated. The only way that I can sum this feeling up is to compare it to death.
