Nah don't think it was that at all. If anything it was probably one of the stronger squads in terms of AFL representation we've had all year.

Just played quite timid footy. Saints wanted it more.

The officiating was terrible though. It was 14 frees to 1 (St Kilda's way) in the first quarter. Evened up a bit for the rest of the game but was a frustrating watch. Ultimately it didn't have any bearing on the result.

Best on for Box Hill was Mraz. Was a rock down back and the scoreline would have been uglier without him. Greeves looked classy in a side bereft of class. Not much else to like about BHH on the day.

Dodson was best on for the Saints IMO. Absolutely dominated the ruck battle comprehensively smashing a very green Uhr-Henry and part timer in Max Ramsden. Smashed them around the ground too. Boxhall, Stocker and Dow all had good games.
I am aware. I am just taking the piss having seen this.

I didn't think it was that many! Few invisible out of that lot.

I was excited to see our MSD pick but for some reason he wasn't named.

Was a stinky game.

Frankston's deep defence is unnaturally good. So often the other team has the ball literally five metres from their goal and the defenders are like "you are not going to get that ball across that line".

Casey kicking the lights out in front of goals despite the breeze blowing it everywhere

Another week of a weird giants team
No AFL listed
key defenders
Ruckman
Or Key forward

But about 10,000 AFL mids, half backs and half forwards who chase handball chains

Are crowds increasing for VFL games does anyone know?
I live interstate and livestream matches, and it looked like the biggest crowd I've seen at a Port Melbourne game for a while.

Port Melbourne get reasonable crowds. Their community engagement on match days is top notch from my experience.

Frankston have been getting healthy numbers ever since we got the light towers. Although after peaking last year, the crowds this season haven't quite reached the same level thanks to our indifferent form. And if it's a Saturday midday or afternoon game you can forget about getting a decent crowd down there.

A lot of games still vary wildly depending on who's playing and whether any big AFL names are playing VFL that week. A lot of the AFL clubs don't bother putting on a decent match day experience so there's very little to attract crowds.

It was a bigger crowd than usual, lots of Tasmania supporters (or neutrals who bought gear from the merch tent the Devils were somehow allowed to set up).

Losing Coe is a blow in itself. Hope he goes well but we're back to not having a great **** option. Hofert so far hasn't been up to it.

Brisbane this week is a must-win if we want to have a chance of finals this year.
Losing Coe will be challenging as 2 rucks was a great option for the Dollie’s but hofert was good today, only his 9th game for the club. Takes guys a bit of time to emerge in a new side big month coming up.
