Well done to the Williamstown FC. They actively recruited during the summer and got themselves a good group of VFL players like Baldwin, Cranage and Mahoney, and it is an example that a few other clubs should follow.

Disappointing official crowd, what can they do to get a bigger turnout? Box Hill and Williamstown have two large supporter bases. I have a feeling last year's crowd was 11,000 and it was Geelong v Port Melbourne. Optus Oval has the Grand Final again next year (last year of a contract), should the VFL play it somewhere else from 2005?

Noticed Ken Gannon talk about "Stability" and "vertical integration" in an interview before the game (he's a marketing tool obviously) - sounds like from next year the VFL won't be letting any massive changes happen such as pulling out of alliances. So the message to Richmond, if you want out of Coburg you better do it now.
