Im Just curious, is there anyone who before the AFL teamed up to make Sister clubs, did anyone used to go and see the old VFL/VFA teams religiously. I Used to go watch Coburg Lions Play every week. I think i seen them lose 32 Games straight before we beat Prahan by a goal one day. Anthony Allesio (son of Steven) was our Full Forward. Dustin Fletchers Bro also played for us too.

I followed Werribee a wee bit, when i actually lived there. But its the development of our (EFC's) young ones is all i care about these days

Yes i used to go and watch Port Melbourne play most weeks in the late 70's and early 80's. Once the AFL started playing more sunday games i didnt go as much but i still went and saw them play 10 to 12 times a year.

The first game i ever went to in VFA was Coburg V Port at Port....I remember it because the ground smelt really bad lol

I remember watching Mordialloc V. Geelong West when Billy Goggin was coaching GW and Joe Radojevek was FF for GW and Peter Neville was FF for Mordialloc and both kicked the ton.

Anthony Alessio was Steve's brother, not his son. I never went to any games as I didn't live in Melbourne when the VFL was the VFA but I watched it on TV every weekend.
