If you include the preseason matches, Ty has been pretty consistent so far this season and it was only the Gold Coast game that was the anomaly.

Agreed. I was talking about 2013 season - one great game, 3-4 OKish, then another good one etc.

I seriously see TV as a three goal a game KPF. If he can just play to his obvious ability he will be one of the better KPFs in the AFL. Get Griff and JR going as well and we have a great forward line. Three mobile skilled forwards. I expect TV to play consistent top grade footy this year or next. Then Griff 2014/15. Until now I was seeign him as a young growing forward, he is now moving into being a mature player capable of being the spearhead.

Reckon we are doing OK in the KPP stakes if, in a TV or Griff debate, the heat is all on TV. Not a slight on TV, who is developing well IMO (3 goals a game & presenting well) but a huge tick for Ben.
Will get under the guard of many a side this season, he's a weapon.

Even averaging 3 goals a game is a pretty high expectation. Wayne Carey & Richo averaged 3 goals a game.
Spida Everitt played a lot more ruck but averaged 1.3 goals a game, if Vickery can average 2 goals a game over his career then he'll be a very good forward for us.

Ty Vickery has to deliver now. 24 years of age and in his 6th year at the club. Does not have to be a superstar, however, that would be nice! He must become more consistent in his performance. The number of poor games he plays (as in 2013) must be reduced so that the club can bank on a minimum performance. I think Ty will do this. His average tally of goals should be about 2.3 now that he is not rucking as much and the most important thing is that he produces this level even against the better sides.

Where does McBean fit into all of this? About 2/3 into last season Mark Williams said we needed to get a few games into McBean.

He's obviously got a future, but with Hampson, Maric, JR, TV, and Griffiths how do we fit him in, aside from injuries to those guys?

Playing the role Ty is at the moment, Im more than happy with 45-50 goals this season which i expect him to reach

with the way football is played these days the 100 goal ff does not exist and its more about even goal spreads and no reliance on individuals

The player we all want/dream tyrone to become is the pack crunching high mark taking physical brute in the jonno brown mould but thats not him and probably wont ever become that - Westhoff is probably the best example of player tyrone will be

The good thing about where our list stands at the moment with Hampson/Maric/Tyrone/Griffiths/Astbury/Riewoldt is that McBean gets the time to develop properly both pysicaly and his playing style and dont need to be rushed.

He will get his chance when injury strikes & It will strike

Agreed. When I say he is a 3 goal a game KPF I mean he has the capability to be that player. Not that he is now. If he plays to his capability in this team I reckon he can kick 3 goals a game. By that I mean every game he plays he works like he did against the blues, he gets fed by other players, and he stays in form. I actually expect him to not do that. But to me he is capable of 3 goals a game on average over a season. We'll see, but if he does what I hope he will be a revelation. What I expect is actually about 50 goals thsi year. High expectation, but I reckon he knows he is an AFL KPF, and is now the target.

I think he'll be more a Mooney or Petrie type. He's still very young and will fill out a bit more in the next 3 years.
