Stickied.

I'm surprised it's taken an hour and a half after the match has finished for this thread appear.

Will do mine after I've watched the game.

POTY

5. Mark Ricciuto - What a super performance from the captain. Battled flu all week, hardly trained and came out and led his side to a gutsy victory and no one showed more guts and determination that Roo. Super effort.

4. Tyson Edwards - Still doesn't get the credit he deserves from the opposition. Typical Tyson, does everything right and never wastes a possesion. Kicked 3 goals to go with 24 possesions

3. Scott Welsh - Not only did he kick a bag of 6 but I thought his pressure in the forward line was outstanding. He is starting to string a few consistent games and 50 goals is well within reach, all things being equal.

2. Simon Goodwin - Started like a house on fire but slowed down a bit afterwards. Still kicked a goal in the 4th when it was REALLY needed. He would have to be a strong candidate for AA selection.

1. Ian Perrie - I don't know what it is about Roos but he just loves playing them. He played his role to perfection today.

Honourable Mentions: Brett Burton, Rhett Biglands, Martin Mattner

Best Team Man

3. Mark Ricciuto - Led from the front. Put his team on his broad shoulders and carried him over the line.

2. Martin Mattner - His tackling and pressure on the ball carriers is simply superbs. He had a hand in at least 4 goals just with his tackling and his pressure on the opposition. Super stuff!!!!!!

1. Ken McGregor - Had a very quiet game until the pressure was on and it was time for him to step up. Came up huge in the last quarter when the game was in the balance.

Rookie

Nathan Van Berlo -
While he didn't have an outstanding game, he showed a couple of flashes of brilliance that tell me he will be a class player for years to come. His goal was sensational, and what impressed me is his coolness when he had a chance to go for goals but decided Welshy was in better position and hit him on the chest with a perfect pass. He did shank a kick at goal at the 4th quarter but that can be forgiven considering he is a rookie.

POTY

5. Ricciuto - Outstanding game from the skipper when it really mattered. Crashed bashed and threw in plain skill as well. Best leader in the comp. BOG by daylight.

4. Edwards - Brilliant first half and along with Goody was our first half inspiration before being slowed somewhat in the 2nd half when he became the main man to tag.

3. Goodwin - Along with Edwards gave us enormous drive in the first half. All class.

2. Welsh - classy display at FF and getting more consistency in his game. Domestic life seems to agree with him. :)

1. Burton - ran and ran and worked his arse off both back and forward. Good effort, and the clangers have nearly disappeared.

Apologies to Biglands, whose ruckwork was nothing short of outstanding today, Perrie who worked his arse off up forward as well, Mattner and Thompson.

Best Team Man

3. Ricciuto - the skipper. Unbelievable effort today.

2. Mattner - best tackler in the game, and huge work rate today when we didn't have the ball.

1. Edwards - Mr Versatile. Can play anywhere.

Rookie

Van Berlo's goal alone was enough to get him the vote. Pity he didn't kick that last one but the pressure he felt would have been enormous. A genuine classy act of the future.
