Stanton really impressed me, his disposal was a lot better than previous outings and was willing to take blokes on. Pretty poor effort overall though, but we did have 3 of our best 5 missing.

We may have had 3 of our best 5 missing but so did the eagles so we have no excuse.

Stanton unlucky to miss out.

Nobody else did anything worth a damn.

Looking at the fixture and our form, I think we miss the 8 on percentage and finish 9th.

otherwise it was soft unaccountable football from pretty much all concerned - disgraceful, and we deserved to be beaten by 100+

As much as that was a poor performance last night....I really think there were positives in terms of the young guys. Richards looks quick, confident, and capable of playing back or foward, tho I'd still prefer to see him played back. Stanton also did some really good things and ran hard. Lovett-Murray needs to stop with his 9 iron field kicking, once he learns how to drill the ball a bit, he will be a much better player, however I thought he also battled and showed a bit of fight.
Kepler Bradley, as ungainly as he looks out on the field, has real football nouse and I was impressed with his pace and reading of the play. His disposal has improved dramatically since his intial first few games, but I guess that was to be expected as he picks up the pace of AFL footy.

Where were the senior guys tho....that was disappointing, would have been nice to complement the commitment from the young guys....but at least there were some positives.

hats of to Peverill....you can tell he has a lot of pride in the bombers.

Misiti got alot of it. And that's about it.

Oh and Channel 7's sportsworld is televising a special on how the team geared itself up to lose this match tomorrow morning.

Should be a laugh.

...no one else deserved anything...although stanton, haynes, nlm, bradley continue to show glimpses of a bright future

poor fletch...hopefully its the knock on the head he needed to get him back to form

HahHA. You know how to really make people laugh.
Bradley is a dud and is not ready, nowhere near ready, why did we pick him up instead of Tenace, oh WHY?
Onstantly caught out of position, and he has really really cr@p foot skills. And football nouse, he has about as much of it as David Hille. Put simply he'll never be a champion and we would have been better off playing an injured Aaron Henneman.
Don't get me started on David "the dud boy" Hille.

We clearly should not be playing duds like Hille, Bradley or Bullen. Bring in some young blokes with talent and nouse - i.e. Laycock, Winderlich and HUNT!!!

You actually found players worthy of votes?

There's a word for people like you who dish it out but can't cop it in return. Gutless.

Fu(k off and don't come back.

why? so in a couple of weeks people can bag them and call for a new set of youngsters to be added to the team?

I actually thought we played okay, and were a bit stiff. They dobbed a few goals from the boundary and kicked 17.8 and we had a few unlcky bounces, and had a similar number of scoring shots. The effort was there, but we lacked a bit of finesse

Anyway,

I didn't think we were too bad either - I just thought our skills killed us last night. We couldn't hit a target cleanly, or take a clean mark, or hit a chest with a handball. The intensity was good, but our disposal was just sh|t all around the ground.

Me thinks it's time for basic skills practice...

Geez you can be a moron at times bomaz.

3. Teddy - just because he tried hard, looked good & showed SKILL
2. Pev - worked his little legs right off
1. JJ- this man never stops but also doesn't hurt the op anymore.

Stants is improving with each game he plays, Bradley showed glimses of a very bright future & Haynes looked reasonable again with his limited time.

Dosen't that contradict ?

Not at all.

We were there for the contests - it's not as though we were 2 steps behind all night as we have been during other games where we've been beaten this year........it was just our disposal that let us down, particularly in the first half. Lloyd hardly got a sniff in the first half because of the bad delivery to him.

It seemed to me as though we did all the right things around the ground for most of the night, but when it came to actually getting the ball to our teammates, we tried to make it as hard as possible for them too often.......handball to the ankles here........kick off target there.....etc.... We ruined all the good work we did with bad disposal.

We were pretty predictable with Lloyd. Once Lucas is missing, we don't really have another tall target there. Once Lovett-Murray (who is only moved to the backline once the coaching staff realise the game is over, ala the Brisbane game) and Richards are dragged back, all we had was Lloyd. So it wasn't rocket science to see who we'd be passing to.

I think Richards has come good in the backline.

I still think basic skill errors constitute playing badly. It's the same with missing goals.

Did his man do anything ?

I can't remember who he was on, but I liked the look of L-M down there. I think Sheedy was just trying a few things, and every now and then you get suprised by a player playing well in a foreign position.

At least that was somethign to get out of the game, which we weren't expecting.
