Could anyone shed any light on new recruits of professional or semi-professional players in the VSDCA? Also any news/gossip among the Subbies?

i heard rosebank from the jika league smashed balwyn in the ones and twos in a praccy match. any truth to this?

Spoke to someone at Rosebank, won comfortably, they passed the score with 15 overs to spare, no details of runs, best players etc. Huge result but very interesting to see what team would have been playing against Rosebank though. I know Balwyn didn't feel they had the most productive pre season by a few sources within the club, to keep up their grand final chances this year. I also know Croydon managed to pick up Robin Paul. He played at Carlton and opened the batting with Carl Hooper, made around 800 runs that year so will be handy for them. Rubin Paul has made his way to Ormond. And looks as though Matty Jonson has made a new home at Malvern. Noble Park crumbling score ponders questions early on this year.

Malvern have also regained Monto Perrera who was originally training to play at South Melbourne but has done his shoulder and wont be able to bowl til after christmas. Mount Waverley have secured the services of Troy Rowe, coach of Northcote disctric 1's last year as well as Cameron Costic who played district at Richmond 1's and 2's. Myles Harry has also come up from Tasmania to play with Mount Waverley. He is an opening bowler and can bat abit, got man of the match in the tasmanian district 1s grand final last year with a 50 and 6 fa!

Sounds like all is going well with the Mounters. Especially with that convincing opener? Great pick ups. Interesting about Perrera, very handy to regain him. Costic looked expensive and is Rowe coaching or just playing, great to start up with an easy 135? Did the new Myles Harry open up? By the score card he did.

How was Endeavour? Any new guys for them? Any youngsters coming up?

Any news about Fleming? How much will he play and actually is he going to play at Noble Park, I heard a few coaching offers were on the table.

Rosebank would throw around more coin than any other club in the state. Crazy stuff for local cricket

Costic first game back in a few years... was playing on mats for 2 years as he took 2 years of playing with his brother bowling leggies after he playing for Richmond 1's. Troy Rowe is not coaching... only playing as an on field leader! The new coach is Steve Hewitt who played a number of years at richmond as a keeper. Myles Harry did open the bowling and from what i gather they didnt bowl to well. Endeavour werent too crash hot.. quick outfield and belter of a deck vs a **** bowling attack. From what i've been told Fleming wont be playing for Noble Park til after christmas and apparently there gun opening bowler from last year Ash Perrera has moved on to South Melbourne! Any news from any other club?

Yeah tried to find out some pick ups from clubs but some don't give out info. I also tried to get some info of praccy match results and there is nothing really significant in these. Brighton have recruited Oliver Newby, an opening bowler from Lancashire. Box Hill have also contracted an English recruit, opening batsmen, James Ward, scored 580 odd runs with Pool Cricket Club. Still finding out some more recruits...

On a funnu note, from next week Bayswater will not have a keeper! They have sent out an application for all keepers! One is going away and the second is getting married!
