Wacko-Jacko: Any spot for this bloke?

Right now, I can't see how Ryan Jackson is going to be able to break into the side with the midfield that we have. I'm not too sure if he's versatile enough to be used on the Half Back Line or Half Forward Line, and overall I just doubt that he's got a spot in the team, although I hope I'm wrong.:o

What I want to know is, what do we do with him? Do we persist with Jacko through the Ants or is it time to cut him loose and throw his name around on the trading room floor to a team with more defenders than midfielders?

Thoughts? Cheers.

unfortunately i think his days are numbered at the blues

not saying he cant play but i dont think we would be able to fit him in.....he wouldnt be high on the next set of midfielders coming through.
Anderson, Armfield, Browne, Bentick, Hadley, Pfeiffer etc would be ahead of him

if we can trade him to someone and get a high draft pick, then i say we try otherwise he will be nothing more than a depth player when a lot of injuries occur.

after his game last year against Saints and throughout the pre-season i thought he would be pretty much up there to get a game, but players like Browne and Armfield have come on faster than expected and therefore would require Jacko to be lower on the pegging order!!

hate to say he will be gone at years end unless we have signed him for 2 years!!

the way i see it, it's up to him. if he is better than the blokes there now, then he will be included. he can control his quality with hard work, getting his mind right, etc. if he just doesn't have the talent, then at least he had a crack.

provided he is playing well in the two's and is improving in the eyes of the coaches, then we should keep him.

to be a successful side you need depth and IMO jackson is good enough to persist with.

gees if any injury came at a bad time it was his dont you think. was in the side at the start of the year, injured his hand and the positions have been well occupied since then. Sadly i dont think that he is needed as Grigg is doing a fine job and so is Gibbs, both who can also find the footy

I don't think he will be at Carlton next year. He might nominate himself for the pre-season draft, like Darrwn Pffifer.

Can someone help me out with his name? lol Pffifer :S

What do you reckon we'd get for him? First rounder? :p We wouldn't get anything for him.

No. He's long gone, played football for a few clubs before I was even born and I also heard he had a brief singing career. He also went into acting, that was a bit more successful I think. Just in what capacity do you think we could employ him at Carlton?

Suspect he'd only come back into the team should we have some serious injuries with our midfield group. He'll be cut at years end.

One question I have and I'm yet to have discovered barring the performance he had on Robert Harvey a couple years back, can he be played as a negating tagger?
