I am an East Perth follower at present, started following them when the eagles had the alignment with them, and have decided to continue following them. Hope to begin to support them with membership and going to games when i move to Perth next year.

I used to sorta follow Subi, like my dad, but East Perth is now my team

I'm West Perth - the mighty Falcons, the garlic-muchers, the Cardies etc. We're really looking forward to the first WAFL season for a while where it hasn't been TOTALLY WRECKED by the alignment system. Bring on the bourbon & cokes.

EKA, I was interested to see that your Dad is Subi, which is unusual for Albany-based folk, because Albany is in the East Perth zone. What's the history?

I have followed East Perth for 30 years so the last couple have been good. On the issue of zones I know Claremont have part of the GSFL and have many Albany players in there colts squad each year.

Swannies :) Dads side of the family are originally from Bunbury... so I guess that's why. Mums side followed East Perth, so the host club arrangement worked out OK for me... I could support them too, without being disowned ;)

SWANS FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*looking at WA and waiting for her response*

:D

Well we have only lived in Albany for 8 years. When my dad moved to Perth, he was 8, and they lived in Subi for MANY years, so he started to follow Subiaco
Thats where Subi comes into it;)
I never really followed the WAFL until i began supporting East Perth a couple of years ago.

WAFL

The Mighty Royals - Back to Back 2000 - 2001.
All Systems Go for Three In A Row !!!
I have been a Royal since the day I was born! My Dad's entire family have always been East Perth supporters.
The alignment with the Eagles was like a dream come true for me.
I will still follow Callum,Kane,David etc even though they are now banished to inferior clubs.
My perfect weekend of footy is an Eagles win,A Royals win - and a Dorkers flogging!!

East Perth all my life.

Saw nearly every game in 2K (became a bit of a closet Antonowicz fan), but don't get to go nearly as much as I'd like nowadays.

Looking forward to seeing the guys go three in a row this season.
Chambers, Wooden, Haynes and Munro will be missed, but we've still got blokes like Perry, Holman, Wheatley, Rhino, Webster, Symons ect who where the real reason for last years flag.

Plus my hero Dean Buszan.

Oh, how I miss him. :(

Once upon a time I was a (very) casual Falcons fan, but these days my loyalty to West Coast has drawn me quietly towards the Royals, simply because I am interested in the progress of our young guys. But that will obviously have to change a bit this season...

Yeah, where did David Haynes have to go to, he and Fletch are my fav players, wish he could have stayed at East Perth:(

wafl

David Haynes had to go to Soooobyaco along with Michael Braun and Josh Wooden.
Callum Chambers,Andrew Williams and Wirra - to Garlicmunchers (with a bit of luck they will all only play for Eagles)
Ashley Hansen,Chad Morrison,Kane Munro,Richard Taylor - now Bassendean Boys
Chris Judd,Jeremy Humm and Brent Tuckey - all big winners in that they are now a part of the Mighty Royals!!

Buzz - Saw Dean Buszan at Basendean on Saturday - he looks to have lost some bulk and I predict a HUGE season for him.

I have to go for West Perth - my grandfather used to be President of the club, so thats where my alliance lies with.

So who did vote for Peel? We won't laugh....

too Hard :D

Claremont for me since I was a baby (no choice at that stage). Went to pretty much every game as a kid/teenager. Try to go to as many as I can now too. (Grrrr at Sat arvo Eagles games.....) I love sitting back at Claremont oval on a nice sunny day watching The Mighty Tigers.

Round Nine 2001 springs to mind - what'd you think of that game Goldenblue?? :p

Two of my all time fav's from West Coast are Claremont guys in McKenna & Lewis.
