So who won?
Went out at the wrong time...
Swannies. About 3 goals I think.

You'd prefer some skinny kid or a hack at pick 90? He looks a good size to me and works hard. We might even be able to off-load him to the GC in a couple of years.
Lovely goal there too. That was 50m+ kick.
Where are you Rip?

Rip, I wish to formally apologise to you and Chris Smith. Now, you know I've been riding him for the last 6 weeks and I didn't want him in Swans team today, but he stood up when it mattered in the last, made the right decision by hanging on to the footy and having a shot rather than playing on like the hordes around me wanted him to. Well done! My apologies!![]()

Thought he ran well and used the ball well. Standing side on to Yarran, you get a feel for how explosive his first 5 steps are. Amazing. The other trait that stood out for me in regards to Yarran was his ability to hold his ground, in the front position, one on one making him a viable option as a stay at home, albeit small full forward.
Did you go today Chrsco?
How did you rate, Banfield, Pearce and Phillips?
! Although I didn't expect the win.
(according to the people around me). I love his fearless approach, has great pace and quite neat skills.Turned the game for you blokes with that run down and tackle that stopped a certain goal.
Then set up a goal and kicked one himself.
Glen Mitchell called it as no 29 but is was Smith No 39.
Worth another season IMO.

You better bloody believe it and I'm still excited! Although I didn't expect the win.
Pearce I've rated all year since seeing him play a pearler of a game for WA v NSW/ACT. He controls half back beautifully, takes a great overhead mark. Will be a star. Banfield I've also rated all year, the only problem with him is he's a ranga(according to the people around me). I love his fearless approach, has great pace and quite neat skills.
Phillips - don't really know what to think. Like what I see but there's a nagging doubt at the back of my mind. He was the focal point so was getting a fair bit of the ball and yes should have done better. I also don't like the acting.
Make no mistake, Yarran was integral in us winning that game today and I think very highly of his footballing abilities and brain. He looks laconic but is lethal.

Does that mean you accept my apology then?
And you're right on that one game alone is worth another season and at least 1-2 pre-season games. If he's anything like Hinkley he may play better at the higher level.
Oh, and the only reason I know it was number 39 not 29 that ran the player down, is because Josh Pullman can't run that fast.![]()
Yeah, Pearce like Palmer last year. Looks AFL ready. To be honest I'd only ever heard of Banfield before today and never actally seen him play. As you said, attack on the ball was fantastic, and for the most part used the ball well.
On Phillips you can look at it two ways I suppose.
Didnt do enough with his shots
Or
An outstanding effort to have 10 shots on goal in a WAFL final. Had he nailed 2 or 3 more it may have been a different story.
He does act a bit, but I'll toss one back at you. Hinkley, loves the stage.![]()

How has Josh been going? I used to play alongside him for the mighty Dampier Sharks in juniors and everyone agreed he would go on to bigger and better things. Have noticed him being named for Swans, but not had a chance to watch him. I think he's only 19, is he half a chance at getting rookie listed?

Looks like you were right then BKBP because there's nothing bigger or better than playing for Swannies!!

we must draft himGee that was good by Pearce on HB there.
Gets it under pressure, 3 on him, bounces outside them and hits a target lace out 50m away.
