How did ____ go on the weekend?

Why not consult the Alesana Player Video Database.

Someone for the ECU physio students doing work experience to practice on - he’s always good for an obscure injury or two

But good luck to him - nice to see one of our former listed players keeping faith with the club.

Does give us some defensive cover down back which will be handy
Watch him stay fit now and have a great year.

Can't wait to hear why signing this former AFL listed player is a bad move (yes, we all know he's injury prone).
I mentioned a month or so I ago, I wish more delisted players would stay on our Beagles list. Great news Callum has.

The sad thing is though for Callum, he will have to get a job as well. Average WAFL payment is around 6K a year. Bit hard to live on and be a massive paycut from what he was getting with the eagles

Might have got a job with the Eagles

A stab at what a R1 WAFL team might look like for the Beagles. My guess at the R1 AFL side is in the spoiler below, with Duursma debuting and Lindsay also in the frame on the bench.

Which leaves:

FB: Cole Brock Grego
HB: Maric Bazzo Allan
C: Davis Schoenberg Dewar
HF: Hutch JWilliams AJohnson*
FF: Champion CDT Long
R: BWilliams Hall Macrae

INT from: Jamieson*, Johnston, Gross, TWilliams, Owies, Rodriguez, Barnett.

Factored in the two marquee* signings so far, and no further top ups. Also no injuries (aside from Allen).

Beagles fans, start your engines.

FB: Ginbey Edwards Hough
HB: Starcevich Young Duggan
C: Duursma Graham McCarthy
HF: Baker Waterman Kelly
FF: Brockman Shanahan Newton
R: Flynn Reid Hewett
I: AReid Lindsay Yeo Robertson Cripps

I look forward to seeing that scratch match in the preseason. Beagles would give the A team a run for its money.

As soon as injuries hit, plus held over emergencies with all our Sunday games, you naturally lose a fair few bodies.

But as a foundation of a side that you then plug top ups into, it’s so much stronger and soooo much more even across the positions than previous years.

Mids that aren’t all just 18. Proven fringe AFL guys who we know actually go to WAFL and carve up (Cole, BWilliams, Owies for example, rather than guys like Hunt last year who just filled a space on the field for zero impact). Depth across each spot, not just a glut of mid sized HBFs and not much else.

Should be a good development year.

still need a colts team

As everyone knows, the players that are showing up as part of the WAFL squad in mid November, on the league’s archaic and non-reliable site, are the complete set of players that will fill the squad when the season kicks off in April.
What is Jack Redden doing on there (with a number)?
Was he showing last season as well?

Edwards/Brock and Flynn/Williams will probably rotate between the AFL & WAFL sides depending on form.

On top of the extra senior squad the wafl recruits are of good quality. Clubs improved year on year in that space.

Will be great to watch a competitive team and kids develop. Fingers crossed wafl eagles get a few channel seven games with the improved camera and coverage

East Freo, Subi and West Perth the suitors according to the article.
Livingston wouldn't get a game with all the talls that are at West coast atm
Not surprised West Perth are among the suitors.
Failing to make the finals they are on a aggressive recruiting drive.
They have brought back a few of their former players including Connor West.
They are also picking depth players from other clubs including two from East Perth.

I don’t expect to see Waterman, Shanahan or Edwards in the WAFL during 2026, so pending availability:

KPD:
• Any two of Young/Brock/Bazzo
• Jamieson

KPF:
• Any two of JWilliams/Reid/CDT
• Johnson- more 3rd tall but at 193cm he’s borderline KPF at WAFL level

Ruck:
• One of BWilliams/Flynn
• Barnett

With a fully fit squad we’ve got 6 Rucks/KPP plus Jamieson and Johnson to fit in

Livingstone would be useful depth for injury cover but you could understand him looking around for more consistent opportunities

Regarding a colts team, the u17s have a Southwest team.

Maybe they could give them a colts team and align the Eagles with it.

Lol, who am I kidding?

Good idea and a way to use some of this money we have.
Offer to fund a colts team for south west - put our academy players in it

I suspect it was either Jamo or Livingstone for the Beagles but not both.
Jamo can play a variety of roles unlike Livingstone.
Jamo's weak point could be injuries. Also think Jamo might not play all games if Afl/Beagles have a clear run of injuries.
