I managed to catch an advanced screening of this tonight and it was excellent. It beautifully sends up a music bio flick and is really funny all the way throughout. An hilarious soundtrack and plenty of very good references to musicians of the past and the music scene in general.

Highly recommended.

I have seen it on a torrent and thought it was pretty good. Some of the songs are really funny and it is a decent spoof of recent bio movies. And he never paid for the drugs!

I thought the comedy was just OK and became a bit repetative at times, but I did enjoy the incredibly bad send-ups of some great musicians. Especially Jack Black as McCartney and Justin Long as Harrison.
However what I did really enjoy was the music. That will be a bloody good soundtrack and they seemed to put a lot of effort into making it good.

Average movie, brilliant soundtrack.
