Wallace has asked the members of the last Richmond premiership side to hold off on passing judgement on this years side for the next 4 weeks.
RICHMOND coach Terry Wallace has given himself and his players one month to show what they are capable of, asking that judgement on his side be made after that, and not the horrible first game.

With games against Geelong, the Western Bulldogs, Melbourne and North Melbourne to come, Wallace asked the intimidating audience of 1980 premiership team members at the Tommy Hafey Club lunch yesterday to hold judgement on his team until after that four-week deadline.
Wallace did not predict his side would win each of the next four games but after the insipid performance against Carlton in round one, judgement could at least be made on endeavour and a clearer picture formed of the side.

"To the supporter base in the room I would say judge our players over the next month, don't judge them on what you saw last Thursday night … it was a disappointment to everyone and I would say that the player group and the coaching group are as disappointed as anyone could possibly be about the performance that was put in," Wallace said.

"All I say to you is we want to be judged by what happens over the next month and how we handle ourselves. I think that will give the context of where last Thursday stood."

Would be nice if some of the posters on here would also give the side the same sort of time before writing them off completely.

When do you play Melbourne? Rd.4?

If he can't get the group together to beat the D's, I don't think there'd be much point waiting any longer - history (or more accurately perception of history) of Richmond coaches or not.

Wallace has had the luxury of rebuilding the team from the ground up. We've given him 4 years and the majority of the fans have been reasonably patient. He's had plenty of time without serious pressure - it's time to shut-up and deliver.

Truetiger we should have beaten them last year... so of course we can beat the Dogs.

It all depends what game plan we're going with.. if we stick to the zone style game I think the Dogs' classy users of the ball will just rip us to shreds.

Sorry RT could not help but bring this up, have spoken to more than one that attended this evening who were disgusted that TW thought the need to ascert his importance and expect our clubs premiership players to grant his wishes, some took it as an insult.
Incidently the same few were calling for his head a few weeks ago and refused the club wishes to discuss its then , current blight.
Is 387 users upon one board some sort of record . :D:D
