Expanded commentary on the blocking of Speedtest via [K1 TG]:

"Roskomnadzor blocked Speedtest and is pushing an app with a 2.7 rating and fake measurements

Instead of the international Speedtest service, the authorities are promoting their own development — the "ProSet" app, which can only be installed through RuStore and only on Android. The last update was in December, there is no web version, and the user rating is 2.7 out of 5. Reviews complain about distorted speed, incorrect ping, and uselessness: "Even Yandex.Internetomer is more informative," "A fake with absolutely wrong data."

Despite this, Roskomnadzor positions "ProSet" as a "trusted analogue" and demands switching to it. The reason for blocking Speedtest, according to the agency and the State Duma, is a "threat to security" and "working for US intelligence services." Experts consider such arguments absurd: the real reasons are either incompetence or a desire to create an "import-substituted Speedtest" and sell it to telecom operators.

Against the backdrop of regular internet shutdowns across the country, the attempt to replace a working global service with a poor surrogate looks like another step towards the degradation of the digital environment."

Putin makes so little progress, he failed to take Kyiv and install another Russian puppet and has made little progress on the front in his failed 3 Day Operation so his tactic is to kill Ukrainian civilians indiscriminately, women, children in order to strike fear in the Ukrainian population hoping they will uprise against Zelenskyy to capitulate to Putin. I think the mighty Russian Army is a bit of a myth, relying on Iran and China and NK meat fodder.

A twitterverse bitchfight has broken out between Trump and Medvedev:

From [ASTRA TG]:
Trump called Medvedev a "failed president" and advised him to "watch his words"

The day before, the US president announced 25 percent tariffs on India for purchasing weapons and energy resources from Russia.

As Trump reported in his new post on the social network Truth, he "doesn't care what India does with Russia." "Let them collapse their dead economies together, I don't care. We have very little business with India, their tariffs are too high, some of the highest in the world. Similarly, Russia and the US hardly do business with each other," he wrote. Then the US president called the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev "a failed president of Russia who still considers himself president."

Trump suggested Medvedev "watch his words." "He is entering very dangerous territory!" added the US president.

Medvedev stated on July 28, addressing Trump, that "every new ultimatum is a threat and a step towards war." At that time, Medvedev also called Trump and Republican Senator Lindsey Graham "old men."

"Russia is not Israel and not even Iran," Medvedev also wrote.

Later, also from [ASTRA TG]:
"Medvedev responded to Trump by mentioning the automatic nuclear strike system "Dead Hand"

"If some words of the former president of Russia cause such a nervous reaction from such a formidable president of the USA, it means Russia is right in everything and will continue on its path. And about the 'dead economy' of India and Russia and the 'entering dangerous territory' — well, let him remember his favorite movies about 'the walking dead,' as well as how dangerous the non-existent in nature 'dead hand' can be," commented the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev on Trump's words.

The former president of the Russian Federation titled his post as follows:

"About Trump's threats against me on his personal network Truth, which he banned from operating in our country."

The "Perimeter" system, known in the West as "Dead Hand," is an automated system for managing a massive retaliatory nuclear strike, developed in the USSR. Its task is to ensure a guaranteed retaliatory strike even in the event of the destruction of the country's top military leadership and communication channels."

Manga comic library forced to vet its inventory to ensure there's no free thinking within the content:

Note how, at the end of the post, the TG Channel ([BAZA]) are forced by RF law to acknowledge that the international LGBT movement is undesirable in Russia. I decided to not trim this text to enable additional chortle. Actually maybe we're meant to include the same disclaimer here on Bigfooty* when it seems necessary.

* Bigfooty is probably recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation.

The largest Russian-language library of manga and comics from around the world has introduced mandatory pre-moderation after another charge under the article "Propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations". On July 29, as many as 6 new protocols under this article were drawn up against the manager of the MangaLIB project Ivan Kvast (pictured).

According to Baza, Kvast, as a representative of MangaLIB, was previously fined 400 thousand rubles for pictures from the comic "Young Revolutionary Utena" - then the discussion was also about LGBT* and propaganda of non-traditional relations among minors.

In connection with this, the resource has already introduced changes: judging by the official announcements, first of all, they affected new content on the site: now all materials will undergo moderation before publication. In addition, the owners created the ability to complain about content that violates Russian laws or promotes something that cannot be promoted.

MangaLIB is one of the largest Russian-language platforms for publishing comics and literary works in the manga and anime style. The platform publishes both professional works and amateur stories and illustrations.

Hey fellas
Start celebrating
Trump will stop the war on August 9th
Putin probably sees the resent protests in Ukraine as a major win towards his cause. A bit of a misstep by Zelenskyy sadly with his anti-corruption reforms.
And he fixed the mis step. Democracy at work.

And that moron Trump
Is sending Witkoff to negotiate with Putin again.

Putin, "Democracy?...Democracy??...Democracy??? I think I've heard of that word before, not sure what it means but it must be evil." "Hey look, there is an nice open window for you."

Rejection of democracy as a Western defect is central to the ideology of the Russkiy Mir which is the driving force of Russian aggression and our current situation dealing with a rogue state that sees itself as having a sacred mission of conquest and a bipolar narrative as a God sanctified superman and yet also a perpetually threatened victim.

Explained nicely in this

A 25% tariff on Indian products went into effect on Friday as a result of its purchase of military equipment and energy from Russia.
And I expect the tariffs to rise on Indian goods entering the US.

This is why Ukraine is fighting for its freedom, it's existence :

All former Soviet & satellite states that have broken away from Russian subjugation have thrived.

The ones that haven't are miserable.

Talk of blaming the US and promotion of blatant Russian propaganda is simply demeaning & disrespectful to the people of Ukraine who decide their own destiny

From ASTRA TG:

Traffic jam at the Crimean Bridge reaches a record length of 30 kilometers

The traffic jam on the Crimean Bridge from the Taman Peninsula side has reached a record length of about 30 km, according to people waiting in line.

More than 2,000 cars are in line for manual inspection, with a waiting time of about four hours. Scanner checks can take up to seven hours.

The previous record — a traffic jam 22 km long — was registered in July of this year.

If it was Ukrainians in those cars russia would’ve sent missiles and drones to “clear” the traffic.

I wish they could destroy that bridge once and for all. Obviously Putin is nervous.

... due to Ukrainian attacks, the Russians were forced to look for other supply routes, and much of the strategic importance of eliminating the bridge has been gradually reduced.

Moscow now relies more on rail lines through occupied eastern Ukraine, including the new Tavrida-2 railway connecting Rostov-on-Don to southern Ukraine and occupied-Crimea.

While disabling the bridge may no longer have the same battlefield impact as it once did, it would still deliver a powerful symbolic victory for Kyiv, signaling that Putin is losing control over his war against the Ukrainian people.

If destroyed, Crimea would be cut off – in essence, creating a siege warfare like scenario.”

In interesting initiative by Russia, rewarding war participants with university placements they would otherwise not have qualified for.

Nearly 3,000 participants in the war with Ukraine and their children enrolled in the country's top universities under quota this year

Around three thousand people were admitted to 18 of Russia's leading universities under a quota for participants in the war with Ukraine and their children, writes "Important Stories." This is 1.5 times more than last year, the publication notes.

83% were admitted either without exams or with scores below the passing grade—they wouldn't have been accepted without the quota.

More than 300 people enrolled in Moscow State University, also over 300 were admitted to Ural Federal University, at Bauman Moscow State Technical University—295, at Higher School of Economics—262, at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University—254, at Far Eastern Federal University—232, at St. Petersburg State University—195.

Almost all future doctors admitted under quota to three Russian medical universities—Sechenov Moscow State Medical University in Moscow, Pavlov First Saint Petersburg State Medical University in Saint Petersburg, and Burdenko Voronezh State Medical University—either passed without exams or scored below the passing grade, Important Stories notes.

Sometimes there are no budget places left in the general competition at all, the publication indicates. So, in 2025, RUDN in the direction of "‎Dentistry" all budget places went to targeters and beneficiaries.

According to Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov, in 2025, 50,000 budget places are reserved for participants in the war against Ukraine and their children.
