I hope for Freo's sake they can cut a deal with Melbourne because if the demons don't get him i'm 100% sure they will take nick nat at number 1 as they need a ruckman badly,so if they don't get Warnock that is going to make life hard for Freo as they need Nat more now then ever as a back up for sandy

And we might wana upgrade our #3 pick to #1 to make sure we got Naita and the Dees didn't poach 2 promising rucks.

Morton is worth more than Warnock and Davey is worth more than Murphy ...apart from those 2 small facts - I couldn't see a reason why Melb wouldn't jump at that offer.
Melb's 2nd rounder is worth more than Carltons.
Melb are less of a threat than Carlton.
I'd favour Melb if they are in a mood to trade fairly.
problems when dealing with carlton could be that warnock says he wants
$1,200,000 over 3 years & with the players that carlton have on their list
they could be struggling to fit all the players into the cap kruez in 3 years will demand 500k a year & if warnock does turn up to be a good ruck would also demand the same. thats 1 million just for the rucks.
add judd,walker,murphy,gibbs,fev,waite, salary cap restrictions could be the bigges obstacle there.

Thats probably becoz Mundy is worth a high 1st rounder/ low 2nd rounder in his own right.
Effectively giving him away for a worse position in the 2nd round is crazy.
Drop our 2nd round pick from the equation and it starts to look somewhat acceptable simply becoz it is going to be hard to pull a top 10 pick from anyone this year.

Hes gonna go to Richmond like the rumors at the start of the year said. They were the first too wine and dine him. A bloke like Shane Edwards Danny Meyer or JON plus a draft pick should do it

How much do you want him? Warnock doesn't seem to want you. So you're going to have to come up with a decent trade if you want him on your list. I suppose you could run with Jamar all year......
Bingo! Therein lies Freo's conundrum. If they don't "give" him away cheaply to Melbourne (either with a 3rd round draft pick or PSD) and he ends up at another club, then Melbourne will take NikNat with the No 1 pick. Worst result for Freo would be if Warnock says he only wants to play for Melbourne (in which case Freo will not get great value for him because Melbourne can use the PSD as leverage) AND West Coast then draft NikNat at No. 2. Unfortunately, I think that's the way the cards will fall.
Looks like a great deal for Richmond but not so good for Freo (IMO).

To be fair ....in your worst case scenario -
We lose our back up ruckman, get Rich and move to 2nd in the PSD plus can hold up our heads as we say get ***((&Y^* to poor deals.
I could live with this worst case.
Best case is ....we get a nice pick for Warny say 18, (grab a Yarran, Pearce, Walters or Hill or whoever we rate just ahead of your 2nd round - but after your PP) and still get Rich or Nick Nat.
With Sandi ...we can play hard ball. I think we will get a reasonable outome.

All comes down to Warnock keeping his word and assisting in enabling Freo to nut out a decent deal.
The guy had a sook mid season, reportedly slack on the training track and has no left a club that took a massive punt on him starting his AFL career. I've been done with him for a while now, his value his high despite showing only glimpses.
If we can get pick 17 for him at a minimum we have done o.k out of the deal. Obviously we need to deal with either Richmond or Carlton.

If Robbie wants to go home to Victoria, so be it, but is he realistic as to where he is in his career ?.
He could have stayed at Freo and be in the 22 as a developing ruckman / forward, as a back up to Sandi. His body is not ready for the pressures of the No. 1 ruck role. He is selling himself as a player capable of playing the No. 1 role, false advertising ?.
I am not a fan of sulking footballers, I prefer players who let their actions do the talking. As such I was not happy with Robbie using the media mid season to air his grievance about not getting more senior game time, bend thy back and you will be rewarded.
I class him as an apprentice ruckman, he / management think he is a craftsman ruckman. As such I wish him the best, but don't expect any favours from Sandi and Palmer.

To be fair to him mate neither he or his management have stated that he expects to be the No1 ruckman at a club...the media have said this time and again but it surely can`t be true.
I`m pissed that he`s a sook who wants to go home after Freo gave him an opportunity to start an AFL career..I just hope he is serious about only wanting to go home and doesn`t nominate a club - Let the bidding war begin
