Warnock!! video

Of course he's two years away from hitting his peak, he's a skinny ruckman who needs another ten kilograms to compete with the best who weight 110 kgs.

I don't know why you're finding fault in that game when it wasn't his best according to Fremantle fans.

People are too quick to find faults in players and overlook the things they can do well.

Warnock is mobile, a giant, can palm the ball well, didn't have to jump to beat the 200 cm King and can read the play going by the marks he took in defence.

I don't know why you would want White or want to rely on Cloke's dodgy shoulders next years.

We'll be thrashing he young and inexperienced Kreuzer and Hampson in the ruck for the next two to three years if they fail like Ackland and Mclaren.

We could easily play Kreuzer and Warnock on the ground at the same time when both are mobile ruckman.

Rotations and depth in the ruck is very important if you look at the rucks on the lists of clubs who have won flags since Essendon's last flag. You can't get by with a Barnes and a spud such as Alessio with the new centre circle killing off rucks like White.

I'd take a Simon Taylor or even a Mark Seaby before I would even look at White.

After reading this board, I always wonder if people on here know as much as they think they do with the shite that gets posted on here...

Why would the Blues chase Warnock if he wasn't that good?

Who let Pagan onto BigFooty when no one wants a tap ruckman again? ;) :o

Warnock is easily more talented than French who always his gave his all in games and cost us a first round pick. Warnock would easily be drafted with a pick in the first 20 or 25 picks if he was in this draft.

Carlton aren't drafting Warnock for just next year.

We're chasing Warnock because he can play for at least five years and will hit his peak when the side is ready to challenge for a flag.

Ruckman who are 206 cms tall don't grow on trees.

If you can't see the potential and upside in Warnock, you should spend most of your time in The Blue Room talking crap.

Gee, TG. Don't get off your bike, I'll pick up your pump for you.

It's just an opinion. Some here are talking this bean pole up. Some here are not that taken in by him, particularly in light of the footage shown on You Tube.

This great club of ours has been pathetic at picking up ruckmen of late, so I'm a little jaded. However, if we do indeed recruit this Warnock and he develops into a gun tap ruckmen, I will be the first to stand up on my hind legs and tell the world how wrong I was about this bloke, and, furthermore, I will be the first to let the masses know that The General saw this talent long before the rest of us mugs knew what the f___k was going on. (Bookmark this)

But, until then, I reckon we should spend our dough elsewhere.

Needs to learn to jump. Even when he doesn't jump, he's so tall, will get most hitouts. Imagine how much damage our midfield could do with a ruckman who they can trust to get most hitouts. Even if they aren't to advantage, if Juddy, Gibbs, Murphy etc can trust Warnock to get the hitout most times, they'll be good enough to read where its going. Our midfield was deprived so much opportunity this year by having to play off opposition ruckmen, as we got slaughtered in the hitouts game after game after game.

Whether we get Warnock or not, I still want to get Jeff White for a year or 2. None of Warnock, Kreuzer, or Hampson should play 22 games next year or be our number1 ruckman, they are all still VERY young and raw. White needs to get bashed around, whilst the young ruckmen slowly develop. Cloke in the forwardline

:thumbsu: Totally agree white isn't as bad as people make him out to be.

Fair points TG. Only thing is, I dont see how he is that much better than Hampson? Would we not be better off investing our efforts into someone else in the draft, instead of a ruckmen who seemingly can't jump?

I do see what you mean though, a future with Warnock and Hampson our main rucks, Kruezer up forward, sounds good. I just don't know that warnock is that much different to Hampson? Are you arguing for Warnock over Hampson, or that both would be invovled in the future of the CFC?

Just an observation from my end but I think that the 200cm+ ruckman will be a thing of the past due to the speed of the game. With the introduction of 4 boundary umpires the last few weeks have seen the ball thrown in and no ruckman in the contest. I think that you need a quality ruck but if the AFL keeps speeding everything up then you would think that the giants of the game will be gone , a bit like the beer gutted players of the 80's!

i think u listen to sam newman too much mate. even if what u say is true, it doesnt matter.. we will still have Kreuzer + Hampson/Cloke

Gouldy 34 - have no problem with the current guys we have in Cloke/Kruezer and Hampson. I just dont think we should be going after Warnock, paying big $ for him and having 4 guys fighting for the ruck roles when we could be working on another key position player.

As for listening to Sam Newman thems fighting words haha. Seen the show twice and think that Sam and co are idiots with some of the stuff they do!
