Look because both are not professional boxer a swing like that unexpectedly can kill . Boxer train to defend themselves going into the ring ready to face their opponent. Brayshaw did not see it coming or ready for the impact .

Well, I disagree on intent, if not the result. This isn't Barry Hall pulling his arm back to punch Staker, he swings his arm in an arc and Brayshaw is probably lower than he expected. I think he's aiming for his chest and ****ed up. I get that not everyone will view it that way, but everything in Gaff's career and his reaction afterwards says to me he didn't intend for that to happen. But then a lot of shit things happen without people intending it.
