It irks me when people say a punch to the face gets jail time.

I'd like to think that idiot from Frankston is going to see the inside of a cell- and he might, given the media coverage- but unless someone hits their head on the concrete a coward punch is pretty much a slap on the wrist.

As for the incident- I actually think what Cameron did is worse, but anything less than what Tom Bugg got for his love-tap on Callum Mills is a disgrace.

I spoke to a friend at the game and they didnt know what had happened. The cheering was just them being fans that didnt see the incident to make judgment on. All they seem was Johnson bump him and other trying to rough him up!

I'm neutral, and probably understand it to some extent. Given it was off the ball, there wouldn't have been replays at the ground.. So they wouldn't have seen what we did at home. They would have only seen the retribution. Probably similar to a lot of the players on the ground, most wouldn't have seen it either I'd guess.

He’s in hospital apparently according to the ABC radio. I don’t think he continued. Game was over anyway.

Do feel I have to defend the crowd cheering him a little though, as has been pointed out most fans at the game didn't see the punch happen (you're usually watching the ball), but since the Johnson bump was with the ball in play they saw that and were just cheering off one of their players that had been taken out.

Can't remember if Gaffs ever been reported before (don't think he has) but they don't do the decrease for good previous record anymore do they?
