Man, just reading the last few pages tigers fans want to see Gaff lynched.
I understand the Freo fans piling in but why the Tigers fans?

Pretty stiff when you consider the tribunal initially gave Houli 2 for this.
He isn't well liked by the fans.Nesbitts come out of the whole saga well

You may think it irrelevant, but if the Tribunal found that Gaff intended to cause less damage (strike to chest) than he ended up causing (strike to jaw), they take that into account. How much that is worth, who knows.
When you say pretty much this. Did you think it looked like a push? As Gaff said he was trying to push past Brayshaw. But this isn't anyone else's workplace.
Otherwise you'd have players like Reece Conca, Barry Hall, Leigh Matthews, Jeremy Cameron etc etc banned for life.
I do like the hysteria in this thread though that eight weeks wasn't enough and trying to slam the club's culture and Simmo's response.
Pretty much this.
Wasnt aware of this actually till yours and Forward Press posts. He isn't well liked by the fans.
He swung a punch to push.... wow!He swung a punch to his chest, with the intent of pushing him out of the way, because Brayshaw had just run up to him to block his run.
That was my take on his evidence.
As Brayshaw was moving past him, to his left and crouched forward, the fist landed flush with Brayshaws jaw, cleaning him up.
He admits the strike, that it got him high, and that it caused severe impact. First thing he did at the tribunal was plead guilty to all three of those elements.
He has the right to explain what he was trying to do.
Come on people; it's not like Gaff walked over to the kid and lined up his face and went whack.
I could have sworn he punched a guy unprovoked, maybe a different incident? No I don’t drink my own piss, who the **** would do that? For a football act?
One was going for the ball the other bloke punched another bloke square in the face 25m off the ball.
Do you drink your own piss?
It would be hard for the AFL to argue that the tribunal made an error when that was in the range the AFL advocated.
Waleed Aly has great pull in AFL circles.
He clearly lined him up.. We agree to disagree..He swung a punch to his chest, with the intent of pushing him out of the way, because Brayshaw had just run up to him to block his run.

Some people believe him based on all the evidence, some don't. You'd probably have similar mixed opinions between the tribunal members, which is why it is good to have more than 1.I dont think they would have considered it. How could you in those circumstances. Yes out of character but you’d have to take his word for it in the face of the video evidence. Which are you going to lend more weight to?

And all they did was assault a cricket ball, not someones face.
He swung a punch to push.... wow!
