Bolton's effort earlier in the season against the Dogs IIRC was a lot more impressive and skillful

There is bit of a flavour of the month vibe about Ginnivan that eventually will die down once Collingwood actually start playing good teams (they have had an unbelievable easy fixture to start the season)

Really? We have played 2 top 4 teams + Geelong.
I thought the Saints were good. Geelong we completely outplayed for 3 qtrs and should never have lost which was a good effort. Just went down by a goal against the Lions. Beat the GC who fixed up the blues.

Who have the Blues beaten??? You played 1 top 8 team and got smashed.

Ironically they lost the easiest game of them all, how on earth do you lose to that Eagles side at home?

Dumb entry into an inexperienced forward line. McGovern and Barass always do it to us. We had 50% more inside 50s and just couldn’t kick a goal. Our clearance specialists in JDG and Adams out didn’t help. Actually embarrassing.

Having said that, WCE at least played fit guys including NicNat. Much better effort than more recently playing an unfit Yeo and Kelly.

Langdons is just an arsey kick that went through.

Ginnivan danced around a couple of witches hats and kicked the goal from point blank range directly in front.

Neither of them will close to GOTY.

Serong's from last year was a harder kick than Langdon's with more harrassment than Ginnivans.

I suppose Gin broke a tackle, danced around a couple of players and got himself into the position to kick an easy goal. Not saying he will be goal of the year, but most definitely a great goal and deserving of being one of the better goals for the year thus far.

15m isn’t 15 steps either. Sure it may be used as a guide but does Gawn or any other ruckman have such an advantage over a small forward pocket? He may have taken 20 steps, but he wasn’t running full pelt in a straight line so probably was only 15m anyway. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) there are many not so bright people here.

Bolton’s goal was far superior. Sharked an oppo handball, kicked from 30m out on the boundary line on his opposite foot whilst running away from goal. They are not even in the same ballpark. Not saying Bolton will win, but he has got Jack’s goal covered easily.

It's the distance covered not how many steps you take. He took 18 steps but covered only 10 meters
