LMAO

Add AK, Capsa, Bowden and Tiva to that list. I'd like to say trade bait, but I'm sure Carlton would want more than all of them for Hardford, as would the Roos for a re-hashed McKernan.

I'm not trolling, but IMO Frawley should not have rewarded Campbell with the captaincy after he walked out on the club just a couple of years earlier. Captaining a club is an honour, and shouldn't be given to somone who petulantly walked out on his club chasing the dollars. IIRC he also complained to the media one year about missing out on the Victorian squad, again not the actions of a real leader.

Rfresh my memory please.

Spud sacked Knights mid season and gave it to
Campbo - yes or no.

I cant believe my memory is this bad.

Chasing dollars had nothing to do with why he considered leaving.

No. The captaincy was changed after the season, not during it. Knights continued to play on after losing the captaincy. Spud told him in the middle of his last season it would be his last though - maybe where your confusion comes from.

Cheers Crummy.
Correct,that's where i was confused.
LOL.Im so confused.

What a ridiculous move by Frawley.
Agree Knighter was ailing but to deliver the blow mid season
was both unprofessional and impersonal.

He'll never live that one down imo.

LMFAOO Coach,

He may be passed it, but putting him in the class of Duncan is a little harsh. He will still finish in the top handful of players in the B&F if not win it if he plays every game.

As for being captain, it would be ideal if we had someone with leadership qualities able to take over but who? At this moment in time, the only person capable is probably Kane Johnson, but i'm not sure he could do a better job captaining the side than Cambo could.

Cheers coach,

We are going to cop a big time reaming this year.

I just hope we don't win slightly more games than are needed to secure priority picks in the draft. Nothing more we can do than just sit back watch the horrorshow unfold...

JohnF, welcome to BF.

Campbell finishes in the top 2 of our B&F for the same reason we are at 95% of our salary cap, but still win only 7 games a year. We overrate our players and our list.

He was always a player just one step above his flatmate Nick Daffy. Quick kicks out of the middle, and straight up in the air. Never seen a player throw the ball on the boot as quickly as those two to get the stat.

Agree, he's done much better in the past couple of seasons, but if you judge him over his entire playing career, he's no way in the same league as previous RFC captains, Hart, Bourke, Sheedy, Weightman, even Tony Free. And he's well below most captains playing today for other teams. Look what Hird did on the weekend.

And as for whoever it was that posted that they had a pet sheep, you're very brave to admit that on a public board....you pervert!

Gotta lotta land in the countryside, have a pet sheep. Nothing perverted about a teenaged girl having a pet sheep. Its name is Uey, but I'm thinking of changing its name to 1980 coz it has sh1t 4 brains as well.

Good to be here 1980.

8 finishes in the top 3 of the best and fairest in 10 years is not overrating him 1980. If you want to know who the true overrated players are at the club look at how much they get paid and what results they have at the end of the year. I think there are a few more you could attack before Cambo, for starters Richo and Gaspar.

I think it's unfair to compare Campbell to lamentable Nick Daffy. Daffy always, as a rule, kicked without looking as quickly as he could. He wasn't a duck, he was a goose.

Campbell on the other hand, only did this in pack situations where it's rediculous to ask for a well directed kick. In heavy traffic you do anything you can to move the ball forward.

When he is given room to operate, Campbell is a great disposer of the footy. If you look at the clanger count of Campbell in comparison to the other ball magnets in the league, he'd have one of the lowest tallies for sure.

Campbell isn't one of the greatest leaders going around but he gets **** all for support from anyone else around him. Take him away from the leadership group and we have a void there the size of a black hole.
