This bloke reminds me of a young me (I've become a better footballer every year since I retired ) Seriously though, I love that he has footy instincts as well as smarts. He's one of those priceless footballers that does the right thing without having to think about it and he seems to get it right most of the time.
I reckon we may have the standout of the draft here.

Very very happy with this selection! This kid will be a star. Playing against a predominantly afl listed player port magpies in the finals this year, he dominated and was pretty much best on ground. An outstanding feat for a scrawny kid playing for centrals. Some of the goals and decision making in that game was outstanding. What really pleased me is what noble said on the radio this morning. If wayne has a good pre season hel be ready to play afl football. this kid could be anything. Has similarities to burgoyne, wanganeen and wingard. Great pickup by the afc.

Everything you said here is correct. Milera has 'it'. Will be a serious player.

In the last few years we've added betts, Cameron, Hampton and milera. Really adding some indigenous flair that we've missed since McLeod and stiffy.

100% agree with this. It looks to me that we have had total rethink on structure and are going down the Hawthorn path (Bulldogs have done similar) and are building a team of great evasive/ good users of the footy. I think you'll see a big increase in our time of possession numbers next year as well as a reduction in turn overs. Simple plan, keep the ball off the opposition and they can't score.

I was too but still nervous about Carlton. Let out a huge woop when Carlton took Mackay.

His number 1 attribute for mine is his evasiveness.
We simply do not have anyone with that kinda side/back step and weaving ability.

Eddie does it a bit, but hopefully Milera can play further up the ground.
The knocks from people I spoke to were that he couldnt only play a forward role. I'm hoping that a while in the AFL system would see him as a wing/midfielder or even that old Matty Wright role (before he started sucking), some time at half forward and some in the middle

Stoked to have Wayne on board, I really like our recent strategy of targeting class players like him, Seedsman, Menzel and Hampton with our valuable assets. Every team needs contested players, but quality users on the wing and flank are generally much more difficult to accumulate.

Anyone with the lateral movement and decision making that this kid has will be a star at senior level and I think he will play from week 1. Still can't believe that GC took Ah Chee and passed on him but absolutely stoked that they did. Can't wait for pre season games.

It's interesting, isn't it? Milera was linked to GC very early and for quite a period. Then, not long before the draft, Ah Chee suddenly replaced him in everybody's "predictions". My money says that GC leaked that they were taking Ah Chee, and that they may well have changed their mind(s) due to the Milera "go-home" factor. Perhaps, Milera did very well in that respect in his interviews?
