Yep I have watched it a few times, its a six as Luke mentions with her 2nd step.

For the WBBL to be taken seriously, you need video technology for those 'iffy' decisions on the boundary rope rather than taking the fielders word.

I think it was reviewed because the website initially had it recorded as a six but then it was changed to a two.

She's already made contact with the ball inside the rope. Once she throws it up, it doesn't matter where her last contact was as long as she is not outside the boundary and in contact with the ball at the same time. Exact same as the Neser catch in the BBL last season.



Edit: ah I see the second step now with the initial contact but imo she's already got rid of the ball by then.

I saw a bit of the NZ v SL, NZ V South Africa T20 series and she struggled in those series as well.

I reckon (dont know exactly what her age) the reflexes are gone.

Bates is 36 years old and her reflexes and timing is gone. Hate to say it as I enjoyed her in her prime. But for her its gone.
