I'm confused about what Duffin's role in the side is meant to be - is she basically selected as a specialist fielder, because surely if she was selected for her batting ability we'd be seeing her coming in higher than she does

WBBL standings And dare I say it, this might be the final Top 3. Thunder look to have a pretty solid top 5 batting-wise. Adelaide probably has the best bowling unit of all teams.

Reminds me of a couple of years ago when we signed Holly Ferling, she played nearly every match but only bowled like 5 or 6 overs for the season, meaning she was essentially selected as a specialist fielder

We've signed some big name internationals, but we've really not got enough from either Matthews or Kaur, and seem to be making strange tactical decisions each match

Come seasons end we really need to make some changes, especially off field and review the approach we've been taking as our last couple of seasons have been shit

Coaching and captaincy leaves a lot to be desired. If she’s in the side especially today why isn’t she batting 3? Whareham can belt the ball later she doesn’t need to come in that early.

We've played 5 matches and Duffin has only batted twice - she wasn't needed against the Strikers which is good, but no idea why she didn't bat either time against the Thunder

The first time we even sent Kershaw in front of her, and today if was Prestwidge, Coyte & O'Donnell - if she's going to be that far down the batting order or not used, how about selecting a young pace bowler or something instead

We also don't seem to know what our best batting line up is either - every match it's Matthews & Beaumont opening, with Kaur coming in at 4. In previous matches it was Dooley at 3, but today she came in at 7 and Webb was promoted to 3 - not sure that really worked, and in the past Webb has shown an ability to play more of a finisher role
