Shutting down riccuto will prove vital. If he kicks a bag then our chances are slim.
Shouldn't be a problem as I doubt Roo will play.

More hopeful of Rutten returning & we need him to play on Lloyd as Bock/Kenny are both hampered by injuries.

Should be a good game. Can't understand the 2.50 odds either.

The 2.50 odds are almost understandable. Essendon are shit, really, if Adelaide don't win then they don't deserve to make finals

I don't mean it I am just frustrated

the last couple of weeks we havn't started games well and ended up having to fight our way back which proved we can do but by the time we catch up the other teams switch on again and kick a few which makes it bloody hard get get back again.

if we can start off good in the first quarter and play good in the last we might have a chance.

I think we can beat Adelaide comfortably also, hopefully by a massive margin to give our percentage a boost. Would be fair to suggest we lose this one and 07 is well and truly gone. This is it!

we will win and comfortably the cows have never beaten us in melb and i dont see that changing on sunday go u mighty dons:D

we havent played great footy over the last few weeks, our disposal has been shocking our so called "ripper" forward line doesnt seem to be functioning as it should and our lack of pace has been exposed.. adelaide havent been too great either though... this is a massive game (quite possibly the most important game the bombers will play in the 22 rounds this season), if we lose imo we are out of the finals race, if we win we are well and truly back in the race...

Scott Welsh didn't train for the crows tonight, should miss.
As we know, Rutten unlikely as is Ricciuto.

Should? Hey buddy, get your facts straight before you go blabbering on.

I was at training today, Welsh came out for 20 minutes and did some light kicking and handballing drills. He has calf soreness and is WILL play

Massie also copped a knock to the ankle and left the track early but have also been informed that he is a certain starter.

Thought I'd give some, you know, TRUE information to the Essendon board

As for the game, I'm usually a huge optimist but last week showed how Rutten and Bassett are so vital to us. Without them and with Lucas and Lloyd running rampant I can't see us winning.

Prove me wrong Crows, prove me wrong!

Look I don't really care about the crows. I am more interested in Sheeds today and wasn't really listening properly as the news was on in the background. I humbly apologise to you and all my fellow bomber fans, as long as we kick the clowns a** on the weekend. :thumbsu:

Yeah well now you know, don't post shit you don't have a clue about :thumbsu:

I really hope we can cover Rutten and Bassett and put an end to your finals hopes.

Yes boss. As I said, I wasn't taking much notice of the news at the time. More important things in football to be thinking about at this time.
If ending our finals hopes is your biggest highlight then good on you, we did enough damage to your season in round 1. All I know is that 22 players will want to run through a wall for Sheeds on Sunday. :thumbsu:

I was a bit worried about the match if this was Sheeds' last match.. but seeing as that wont be till Round 22, I'm pretty sure it wont have that much affect on the players.

Great news on Rutten.
Who will take Lloyd/Lucas?
If Bock takes one of them who will be their target man up forward with Welsh also unlikely to play by some reports? Don't say Perrie.

For the last time WELSH IS PLAYING. :thumbsu:

Welsh is unpredictable. If he fires - watch out. Mcgregor will be another target up forward I'm thinking. Stevens may have to go back along with Torney and Massie. Yes, Perrie will be up forward also but keep underestimating him, when he's onsong he is unstoppable in a marking contest. There is also a chance that Nick Gill will be debuting this weekend, he will also provide a much need target up forward, very strong mark and decieving pace.

Well the team we've named is as follows:

B: Graham Johncock, Scott Stevens, Kris Massie
HB: Andrew McLeod, Ken McGregor, Jason Torney
C: Nathan van Berlo, Simon Goodwin, Martin Mattner
HF: Brett Burton, Nathan Bock, Brent Reilly
F: Chris Knights, Scott Welsh, Nick Gill
R: Ben Hudson, Tyson Edwards, Scott Thompson

Int (from): Michael Doughty, Robert Shirley, Ivan Maric, Ian Perrie, Richard Douglas, Luke Jericho, Bryce Campbell.

Personally I think Shirley, Jericho and Campbell will fall away from that interchange.
