Our team for these ODIs is out of whack imo. 2 new pills and we have Warner and Wade opening? Warner ok, but expect him to get out early a fair bit as he doesnt move his feet, he's our Sehwag. That means its too risky to have Wade opening with him, its just stupid.

Yet again early wickets destroy any early momentum and force us to bat conservatively through out the innings. Look at our bottom 5 tonight, yes Christian and Pato can hold a bat, but again, with 2 new pills and high risk/ reward bats at the top we cant afford a tail that long.

Imo we have been playing a bat short all series and messed up with the top order. Clarke needs to come in for a bowler, we have enough part timers to cover it. Just the opposition knowing you bat long creates pressure.

The bowling in your side is way too weak; we have the balance right now. Christian isn't a good enough bowler to bat at 8.

I beg to differ, with 2 new balls our batting depth is simply too light and in the wrong order too often. Score 300 or just the opposition knowing your most likely going to score 300 creates massive pressure which gets wickets. 2 quicks with a new pill each should do some damage, then we have capable med/fast types plus a tight arse spinner and a bunch of part timers.

If/when Christian's bowling isnt up to it, drop him, although i would prefer a bowler that can seriously bat in this spot (perhaps M.Marsh). But given the added batting depth we could get away with a pure bowler.

That's the lot of ANY one-day/T20 opening batsman, though. You go hard during the Powerplay against the new ball, and sometimes it comes off and sometimes it doesn't.

All of Warner, Wade, Watson, Forrest and Clarke have batted top 3 in recent times, and all have had their moments and had their flops. That's limited overs cricket.
