From a trade point of view getting Crawford could only be a negative for the club because to give up good young players to get a 31 year old isn't going to bring us any closer to a flag. And this being a trade thread that was the perspective I was looking at it from.

Hille's clearly a bit of a sook and I think Sheeds has now realised that he's of best value when he starts in the ruck. He's put in a lot more effort in the last 3 weeks and now Allan's down, he'll be critical to us.

I reckon he was about our 5th or 6th best last night.

I wouldn't be trading him as he's just turned 23 and looks like a player who's just waiting for the penny to drop and work out what footy's all about.

Thought Hille played all right but we must have got our wires croosed somewhere as i have never said we should traid Hille in fact if you check through some of the Hille threads you will find i have always said we need to keep him. My only point was that Crawf would be of Value to us as would be Voss and others. No where have i said we should trade Hille or any other youngsters like McPhee or Welsh and others to get him.
My only point here is that Crawford is a genuine super star which is not the picture that was being painted early in this thread when people where saying he would be no value.

Hille was good last night - still think he's soft, but showed the talent we know he's got.
If he learns to start chasing people down and putting in that sort of effort full time, I'm looking at a big slice of humble pie...
