We get games into: Swift,Smith, Shep, Shuey, Stevens, Strijk, Masten, Weedon.

and

the sooner we cut: Nicoski, Embley, Mcginnity, Selwood, Priddis, Dalziell, Jones, Lynch,

Backline is fine as is forward line(could use a crumber), currently we have the worst midfield in the comp. Fix the midfield and we are back.

It is honestly that simple.

Completely agree. If our midfield was just average we would be winning a lot more games and competing for the 8, because our forward line is pretty good. But your always going to have injuries. We have too many players that can't hit targets. The problem seems deeper than just missing important players..

"We will be fine".

We won't be fine till we get games into those said players. As well as surround and support them with more quality.

No better way to build a premiership quality list than by loading up as many high picks as possible for an extended period. Not every pick will strike Gold but you do get a higher strike rate.

I called on us to turn over 4-5 players on the main list at the end of last season. I was right. The addition of two more young players would have done little to hurt our chances in 2010/11 and would potentially assist us into the future.

Unfortunatly we haven't set the world on fire with new recruits for some time now. Not sure if thats poor drafting, bad development or simply our new way of doing things at the selection table.

We really need to stike gold with our first two picks in 2010 and 2011. I wouldn't mind more than that actually.

we fire the skills (ROFL) Coach
Get rid of Lynch, Nico, Embley.
I think we have to at least persist with the younger guys like McGinnity and Scott Sel.
With a different coaching team and skills coach, who knows. Imagine if Hardwick was at the helm! Probably see a different team with different results.

Still can't believe our skill suck so much.

This article basically states the obvious on the Coachs' tenure.

the team finds some heart and gets the team mentality going majority of the team are llike robots get some heart and the team mentality and we'll be fine

The Richmond game really showed up one thing. We both have decent forward lines. Obviously Jack Reiwoldt is their only Foward compared to Kennedy, Lecras, Mckinley. Our Back Line is alright with Waters, Schoey ( we are really missing Glass and Butler). But my god was their Midfield Better than ours. Delideo, Martin, Cotchin completly owned whatever we had that called themselves the midfield. We had Priddis that wins the ball quite well, but who the hell does he have to pass to? NO ONE.

Im counting down the Days till we have Swift,Masten, Shoey, Stevenson Kerr....

The Richmond game really showed up one thing...
That's the part I don't understand,

we've been $hithouse all year, there have been previous games where we've been disinterested.

But because it was against a bottom side, everyone is ready to burn the club down.

This $hitty selections have been going on all year.

it's clearly not that simple...

it is true that we need to get games into those players, but to just have a simple 'in - young untried guys, out - anyone over 25' philosophy like it's going to fix all our problems is just a bit daft.

i would like us to bite the bullet and change things up a bit. give Notte a few games (even though his wafl form hasnt been fantastic), try stevens in the midfield and smith on the back flank/wing.

it's all gone a bit stale, and we're just regurgitating the same shit.

That mentality is dead.

Where talent is obvious you don't need to retain experiences players, you need to give talent youngters experience. We can't go backwards from our current position and we can't make calls on inderviduals till they have been exposed at the highest level.

It's Woosha's faith in our experienced players that has seen us down this road. He can save himself by fixing those mistakes and taking real action come the end of the year.

You need to sought throught the list and make value assesments on every player on our list, compare them against other sides players and each other.

Look realistically at the balance of our list and take needs selections deeper into the coming drafts.

Rinse and Repeat that process year after year and we might end up with a list capable of challenging for another flag.

One thing has become clear, this club has become weak, has compromised, now accepts average performances and average players. We aren't cut throat enough and we arent ambitious.

We seem out of touch with the rest of the competition in terms of professionalism and competitiveness of the field.
