I think what people need to consider is this..


If Geelong keep their list together this year fit and healthy they will win and win easy unless Riewoldt has a miraculous recovery.

We aill make the finals easy in the next 5 years.



That isn't hard a lot of the teams outside the top three including Freo are nothing to get excited about.

If you said two new teams where not coming in then we would be a show for a premiership in the near future.

But GC and GWS are coming in and coming in with big advantages.

If they succeed early look out.

If they don't suceed early look out even more as they will get even stronger with more draft picks.

The Tigers really need to give our future every chance to survive as this is not going to be any picnic by a long shot!!

I do not want Tigerland to go under because we let our egos run wild and smashed a team with little desire to suceed.

Actually I wouldn't surprised if Hardwick will begin to rest a few players like Cotch and Martin near the end of the season. And, of course, we might see some other young players come through to the seniors.

So most likely we will finish in the bottom 2 or 3. West Coast and Adelaide will win a few games at home. I really do not want to see our club tank.

I would be discounting our chances v Lions, we have always played well up there and Freo, certainty at the G hey...hmmm

Fair enough. My thoughts differ slightly, I'd rather see the kids keep trying to win, if they don't and we get pick 4 as a result then I'll take it as you can put it down to we simply weren't good enough. However, if we do happen to win a couple more than we thought and end up with pick 6 or 8 instead then I'll take that as well as it will be a pretty good indication that the group we have aren't as poor as we think.

Only proviso is that I would like a couple of those wins to be against sides that are in contention for the 8 rather than just beating sides that are already looking towards 2011. That means winning a couple of games against Sydney Fremantle Collingwood Carlton & St Kilda, if we do that and miss out on pick 4 then as I said I take it.

What a load of rubbish. That's exactly why this club has been in the shit for the last 30 years. People in high up places make stupid decisions like this. Make no mistake, we still have one of the worst lists in the AFL, we need pick 4 and the extra 2nd round P.P. We should've "tanked" (early surgery, experimenting) in 2008/2009, let's hope we have learnt from those massive mistakes.

We've been in the bottom for 30 years because idiots constantly trade away draft picks for shit senior players, refuse to play kids over seniors just incase we win an extra game and refuse to focus on the correct development of youth players. If we don't bugger up and throw away picks for rubbish players and play our kids over senior players (not that we have any left) we will be successful for a long time.

Our list is good just young open your eyes.
- Our mid could be as good as geelongs
- Our defence is servicable which is all you need
- Our forward line is getting there with a few youngsters yet to come through but Riewoldt will be a superstar.
- We do have a few cracks but they are slowly getting filled as players get more experience.

Be optimistic not pessimistic.

I am not one for tanking but would take the Wooden Spoon and be in no way disheartened by our season so long as we dont play round 13-22 in the rnd 1-6 fashion.

We are showing some great signs if we win 50% of the games from here on in then thats great. Mind you this season if we win 5 games 16th is ours. The reality is WCE and ADEL and PA will win games with their big home advantages. NMFC have shown they can get to at least 8 and Melbourne supporters expect more wins will get to 7 I think. Even with 6 wins we could finish bottom.

This is what we'd be missing out on Pick 4-last 10 years.
Morabito, Hartlett, Morton, Leuenberger, Kennedy, Tambling, Ray, Walsh, Polak, Livingston.

The majority of those players are hacks so if your so concerned about getting those picks go barrack for Carlton or Melbourne you know those cheating teams.

Getting worked up over winning is different when your winning with youth it's not like nathan brown, richo, johnson, simmonds, coughlan are carrying the team.

Depends on the circumstances, injuries to them, etc but thinking about it again after last time you asked me...probably not. It's a very hypothetical question because at their best we wouldn't be able to beat those teams no matter how good we played.

I have a firm belief we have the worst list in the AFL and we must do everything we can (take advantage of the system) to improve it. Losing pick 4 and the P.P would not improve it. 2nd round pick last year in a so called weak draft netted quality players like Bastinac and Fyfe. Winning games and this so called "winning culture" B.S people love to use does not improve the quality or talent on your list. People might not like it but that's just how the system works, unless you win a premiership finishing as low as you can is the best result. Especially this year with the GC having so many picks.

Surely west coast, adelaide, port adelaide AT LEAST have worse lists then us and based on potential many other teams do to...you must overrate our opposition.
