Just for the record guys we have never ever won the week after winning a derby, hopefull that isn't a sign of thigns to come Saturday night.

Nervous already, its a massive game for us.

True. We have also never won 8 straight and been in 3rd at round 21. With such a short history records are made to be broken and are being rewritten this year. Danger game ? Yes.....but one we will win. Will be a good match I reckon as Port will be determined to go out on a good note. Lets spoil that for them shall we.

Agreed, very nervous myself. We could very easily lose this one. Port played well against Adelaide and could easily do us in if we don't respect them on the field.

But, should we win, I'm looking forward to either Adelaide at AAMI or a Qualifying Final Derby. Would be more hoping for the former because Adelaide are pretty much on one leg and out of form but either would be good. Lets just avoid an Elimination final though!

On a positive (thus making it scary) note I picked up the sports section of the Courier Mail this morning and read the viewer poll: "Will Fremantle Win the premiership?". 77% of Queenslanders reading the Courier Mail said Yes. Mixed emotions: Yay and Eek at the same time

has anyone worked out the worst case scenario if we do lose - say if melb pies & saints win

where do we end up? - i just did 7th :(

Its not pretty if there is a loss.... However, there is a chance we still could end up fourth...

Would you rest Haze this week? He is so important need him for the sept month from then on...

If Hase is fit he has to play, needs as much game time as he can get.

Its just they played him sparingly on the weekend when he was clearly dominating (in patches) which leads me to believe that if he was fit they would be trying to get game time under his belt (your theory - Which i totally agree with). I think if he isnt fit. Let's get him right for the finals. He is good enough to play on the back on no game time. There is always room for a club icon!

If the Eagles and Dockers meet in the Grand Final, will the Victorian teams push for a 3rd team in WA? Anything to get back some advantage.

I noticed that one of my favourite players Antoni Grover is still working his way back into the game. He's a star in waiting.

At least the Dockers know that they've got a few very good players in reserve should they run into injury problems. They're too busy running by opposition players at the moment.

Good luck Freo.

Week after both Derbies!!! As a Power fan I have a heap of respect for Freo, so I gather you will probaby play Adelaide Crows in your first final & if you do ..go get em

Port played their grand final on the weekend. They have to travel on a 6 day break, and played in a much closer game than us on Sunday. Michaelangelo Rucci (football writer in Adelaide and port supporter) said that the players were still celebrating on Monday and are no chance this week. Hopefully they treat the trip to Perth as an end of season holiday.

Fremantle by a similar margin to Sunday, Hasleby to miss.

Lade and Brogan will highlight their superiority over Sandilands.

Pearce and Burgoyne will clear the ball before your guys even see it.

Ebert to star.

Put away the glasses - Freo back down to earth with a thud. The planets to come back into alignment.

Edit: Slips

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you were trying to be funny, because if you were serious... then I really, really feel sorry for you.... ;)

Yeah yeah, made an oversight, so sue me :)

Point is, Lade and Brogan are the best ruck combo going around and Lade will be AA.

SANDILANDS to struggle.

Why are you talking about Brogan and Lade? I thought Biglands and Clarke were Port's ruckman? ;)
