Week six has seen no surprise at the top. The Celtics and Spurs continue to roll along on their winning ways, and the Magic, Pistons and Suns still have great records.

Without Lebron, the Cavs are struggling for form. With six losses on the trot, King Lebron can only look on from the sidelines in despair as his team has fallen three games below 500.

Performance of the week goes to Allen Iverson for that super performance he had against the Lakers, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to get his team over the line.

Speaking of the Lakers, Kobe continues to run hot, and so too is his team. Lamar Odom appears to have found a bit of form, and the impressive Bynum continues his good season in the centre. Now at twelve and eight, the Lakers are only one and a half games behind New Orleans in fourth.

The Houston Rockets sit one game above 500, but unfortunately sit outside of the final playoffs spot. Their record is identical to that of the Raptors’, yet in the East they are fourth, again proving the Western conference still has the power.

How the hell can someone with 18 assists over three quarters (w/ rests in between) not get a vote?

I know you want to claim that Paul > Nash and everything but if you're going to express such blatant bias and disregard for common sense then you might as well just eject Nash from contention altogether.

It would save time and avoid confusion.

I was going to name Kaman at the centre and Smith as PF, but then realised that Smith lined up more times than not in the centre this week according to Yahoo!.

Nip/Tuck, only two boards, ten points and no steals or blocks, along with three turnovers. Yeah, eighteen assists is an awesome achievement, but the three I gave votes to were all extremely good, right down to STAT with one vote who shot extremely accurately, had 250% more points that Nash, and 300% more boards and 300% less turnovers.

Barbosa, Ford and STAT were all very accurate shooters, and had 87 points between them.

The thing you're missing though is that Barbosa and Amare shot that high % largely because of Nash. He is the offense. He makes it all work. The assist numbers don't do him justice.

How could two Phoenix players get votes in a 100-93 loss to Minnesota? Al Jefferson no doubt was the 3, but I would have thought Jaric could have got the 1.

Link? Al Horford has been the centre for the Hawks I believe. Josh Smith is closer to a SG than a C.

And the guys are right about Nash. The 18 assists are the reason Amare and Barbosa shoot those high %s.

Fair enough. I do agree, but Nash is always going to get assists because he doesn't consider the risk of a turnover. He just passes in the direction of a team mate no matter how much pressure they are under.

Just because a team wins doesn't mean they deserve the most votes. If the losing team has the best three players on the court, they deserve the votes, even if the winning team has the next five best players on the court.

It wouldn't happen often, but I have done it once this season.

It is simply impossible to get it correct unless you watch the match IMO

Stats almost mean nothing unless you've watch the match, for example:

Cleveland 86 – 105 Washington
3 votes: C. Butler (WAS)
2 votes: A. Jamison (WAS)
1 vote: B. Haywood (WAS)

You gave Haywood 1 vote here, yet on the Wizards RealGM here were the results (that I agree with having watched the match):

Caron Butler 30.5%
Antawn Jamison 0%
Brendan Haywood 55.5%
Nick Young 12%
Antonio Daniels 0%
Other (Write-In Candidate) 2%

Obviously it will be more accurate watching the game, so as you seem to be a genius, feel free to watch every game from now until the end of the season and record your votes, because they will be more correct than mine because I only spend up to two minutes on each game's stats to record my votes.
