You are no doubt clicking on the big BigCricket banners. Or the spot where you would see them if you switched off an add-on that blocks ads.

We are running player threads over on the Eagles board and was just looking to do a bit of an update to a few of the thread titles. With Nicoski's retirement for instance I tried to edit the title of his thread

and got the following error
A server error occurred, please try again later.

We used to be able to do it before, and FiveStrings tried to do it as well and also got an error.

A few add-ons have been switched off during trade period as we think one or more of them contributed to site problems.

What's with the massive influx of spambots today? Has been about four or five random threads on the Introduction board talking nonsense (although that's pretty standard for that board) and linking off-site.

Yeah I have been, I've just never seen more than two in over a year on BF and today they're everywhere.

I booted a couple that originated Poland of all places just then.

You've probably just noticed them today, they appear and we kick them regulary.

Since upgrading to windows 8.1 ( about 2 days ago) I seem to only be able to quote posts while the page is still loading, any idea why that is?

The site has become really slow for me lately, it takes minutes at a time to just load a thread. I can access the boards fine, it's just accessing any threads where it becomes an issue. Chief

When you go to your watched threads page, click on "There may be more to view" or "Show all watched threads". You can then select threads to stop watching using the drop down menu.

For the past couple of days I have been unable to quote any posts, when I press the reply button it looks like the system is processing but the quote doesn't come up.

The like button works fine.

I can post comments fine but not the quote function.

Now I did notice my laptop doing some updates from the Microsoft website on Internet Explorer a couple of days ago so maybe something has changed on this end on internet settings.

Have you ever come across this issue with anyone else.

I'm not sure exactly... You'll get some points when you hit 250 likes, 500 posts, 500 likes, 1000 posts etc. So maybe 500 posts and 250 likes?

The 'scroll' ads are main king the site slow for me on both IPad and Android phone.

They also come up nearly every single page even if I've closed them the page before.

They are terrible to look at hard to click close as they are so sensitive. It would be good if they didn't open a new page that has audio though as I'm trying procrastinate at work without getting in trouble

In the past the ads have been on a cool down of a day or hour (but it's not always worked out that way even if intended) and if you have to have them it would be great if we could close them and have them stay closed for a while.

I understand the need for advertising but these are always really lame and repetitive.
