ohhh that really sucksWill Graham from GCS got it

they both got an AF of 73 but Graham got a goal - I think so many of these things go by stats aloneWill Graham? Lol.
Timely reminder that most of these afl awards don’t mean much, selected by people who who aren’t really clued in. The mid year AA meeting was a good indication of such also.
We know what we’ve got![]()

No, not fair enough. It's complete garbage. Will Graham. Fair enough, he's certainly deserving. Unlucky for Josh. Body of work ahead of individual performance, which is standard.
Rising star nom.
Game saving last quarter - tick
Against the runaway top team - tick
Away from home - tick
Featured in the coaches votes - tick
Plays for one of the afl’s darling - sorry Josh, you’re not good enough
the AFL page on Facebook is going off about it, which would also make Graham feel bad for something he has no control over. Maybe they should have made an exception and put both of them up.No, not fair enough. It's complete garbage.
Draper had a bigger body of work and a better game on the weekend. He even got a coaches vote.
Why?the AFL page on Facebook is going off about it, which would also make Graham feel bad for something he has no control over. Maybe they should have made an exception and put both of them up.
Does anyone know who specifically chooses the RS nominations each week, so I can hold a grudge against them?
yes, but Graham didn't ask to be rewarded and now he is pretty much being booed on social media - he's just a kidWhy?
Graham had 22 disposals as a midfielder and 6 were clangers ffs. Draper had 14 as a key defender with only 1 clanger and won us the game. He has already been shafted two games ago with a very similar performance, Graham can wait his turn like Draper has been.
he has the respect of his supporters and team matesLike others have already mentioned, robbed.
Key backs won’t get much love but there’s nothing more Draper could’ve done and those last 5 minutes when Swans were coming should carry with it bonus points.
When did it start becoming for the player with the best "body of work" vs the player who put up the best performance that weekend? It's not like his games have been so great that he deserves a body of work nom. Should only come into play when there's no outstanding performance of the round. No, not fair enough. It's complete garbage.
Draper had a bigger body of work and a better game on the weekend. He even got a coaches vote.
That is on the decision makers, not on Graham or Draper. Be better at their jobs and no one complains.yes, but Graham didn't ask to be rewarded and now he is pretty much being booed on social media - he's just a kid
there were some dubious decisions made last year as well, but this one really stands out
I don't think Brayshaw ever had a standout performance to warrant one though. He was on track to get it in the Derby, though. That was his first stand out game of the year.Timely reminder that Brayshaw never received a nomination.
I'm guessing they are Victorians who only rate a team that beats CollingwoodThat is on the decision makers, not on Graham or Draper. Be better at their jobs and no one complains.
Surpised they didn't watch Freo v Swans if they are selectors or read numerous articles highlighting how good he was or watch the interview he gave after the game or look at coaches votes. These are just some of the things they can use to see that maybe the clanger kid with slightly higher midfield numbers isn't the correct call.
Freo media team also flummoxed.
That's the point. At the end of the year, players who get pipped in earlier weeks due to another outstanding game at the same time get rewarded off soft games for their body of work. Drapers is better anyway as his stats are key defender stats, not a midfielder ones and he has played more games. When did it start becoming for the player with the best "body of work" vs the player who put up the best performance that weekend? It's not like his games have been so great that he deserves a body of work nom. Should only come into play when there's no outstanding performance of the round.
We literally won that game because of Draper's performance. Graham wasn't even among gold coast's best.
