Hey Ruse, just thought I'll take a break from my daily duties pleasuring all these virgins up here in God's kingdom, but just like to let you know me winning a talent contest hasn't done me any harm. Hey I've got my mate Elvis here, gees this bloke has got some stamina. But he hasn't done too badly himself winning that talent quest in his early teens. Oh just in case you haven't caught my name I'm Frankie, Frankie Sinatra. Oh by the way Gloom Town is just down bellow where we reside. I believe it's not very pleasant down there. No one's been there and returned to report but what the hell, if that's how you see the world good for you.

Somebody better tell Schwabby and Conole because all they've been doing is watching the block, survivor, the bachelor, etc. all year.
 
At the very least he'll help our young guys stand a bit taller in the NEAFL.

That Darren bloke off the Block looks ok though.
 
This may seem a little harsh, and I must admit I've seen nothing at all of the recruit so could be way off. But will he actually be fit enough to be able to compete at AFL level? Just from those highlights alone he looks to have a classic country football body shape rather then the more pure athletic AFL shape.

Possibly was lapped by Archie. Archie is in his 4th pre season now and Matt his first. It will take him at least all of this pre season to build up some sort of elite fitness.
I hope he goes ok as he's definitely got the right size about him.

Come on Robbo18! ......don't be shy.....tell us how many times Nick lapped him :-)
 
Yeah true but...... as you all know running is just natural for Nick. He is the first to admit he has other aspects to work on to improve his game. He ran with another senior player over the break and it was Nicks first run and this other player had been running for 5 weeks or more. Nick ran away from him quite easily and Nick said he felt fine. The other player was really annoyed as he wanted to run with Nick to see how he was going himself in that area and felt he was way off. Nicks response was that running is easy for him and always has been so don't beat yourself up.
Apparently Matt is pretty quiet but is really keen to do well and listens intently. It would be a different experience coming from a reality tv programme to an AFL list and there in itself has its inerrant expectations.

Out of interest, is Nick considered to be an elite runner by national athletic standards?

Also, with Eagles he will be our NEAFL ruck with a lot to prove. Great situation for both parties.
