Medhurst shouldn't be under any pressure to replace Tarrant.
It should be on T.Cloke and Rusling and for Rocca to hold it together for a full year.
EDIT: I didn't realise he has had 2 over 40 goal seasons. I still think he will be a fringe player, but if he can come on and make an impact it will be a bonus.

I have good memories when Medhurst kicked 9 goals against the reigning premiers a couple years ago. Be good if he could do that again.

Shattered about Tazza leaving but i guess i will have to get over it!
Welcome down Meddy. Used to be my favourite non Collingwood player a couple of years ago when he used to take hangers nearly every game and was actually good.
Just hope that he can play some good footy with us, remember this guy doesn't have good form in Melbourne lets hope he can now he lives here!

Danny Roach board....pick 8, who cares! As i've said along, A quality ruckman yes, or a fast, skilful midfielder, yes, but a bloke who has yet to record a stat in Victoria in 5 years, plus a draft pick who could turn out to be a superstar, but equally as likely a dud....

Medhurst still will give us a coupla of screamers each season.
I admired him early and then grew to hate him in the mould of Milne, Farmer, Betts etc.... but now we can enjoy him and let other fans hate him....more
. Hope he can click with Neon...lol. Double fans hate.I thought he was 22/23 and was ok with the deal.....24, 25 in Dec., now makes me a tad toey, I'll miss Taz and wish him all the best (still be a fan), but the deal sits ok with me at the moment.
We will assess this deal when pick 8 and Medhurst have a coupla years under their belt.

Not too disheartened cos I just remember Medhurst actually being stronger in a one on one marking contest than Jimmy C and outwrestling and outmarking him. Stuck in the mind cos it doesn't often happen.
One question: Is this a player that we would be able to isolate inside the forward 50 and play as a full forward??? Cos Rocca couldn't and Tarrant couldn't.
