I posted a week or so ago. I expect HOF and a few others to be done first and fairly quickly. A few roles my be moved or “re assigned” in some structural changes

My gut feel is this will be first and the Voss removed after final round where process will be in place to pick next coach and coaches

Wright will have a hit list in place already for coaches and I reckon a few other jobs will have already been agreed

So you are saying we are going to take on a modern, professional and normal hiring process for our next coach?

When did we do that last? Have we ever?

He would be running that you would rhink. Would want head of football in place to involve as part of the process. New coach would need have comfort with the Head of Footy they would be working with. Reckon it will be a pretty high calibre appointment.

Yep, I reckon getting someone who is in demand to say yes, we would want our head of football to be in place first.

It sounds like Wright will be also playing role of head of football for this period, which normally I would not like, but in this instance it's someone well qualified to do it so I'm ok with this.

Ideally you get your head of footy done and all other support staff signed, create a platform that will make potential candidates say yes.

We don't just have to say yes to them, they also have to say yes to us and IMO the latter appears to be the issue and has been for some time.

We need a new coach and new direction. Our current one has had the wrong outlook on the game from day dot.

Wright has been at the club since last October so has had ample time to scrutinize football operations, head coach and his assistants.
This was an excellent move, together with Cook’s input one would expect substantial changes. We need some luck, but it seems at long last we have
the possibility to bring about the positive changes we desperately need.

It's funny what happens when you have a football minded CEO appointed ahead of time who won't cop shit from the coteries and benefactors, isn't it?

If the fools don't try and run Wright out of Carlton he'll make the smart footy decisions. Might not always get them right (he's not a messiah) but he's seen and been a part of enough right at other clubs that he won't accept anything less now that he's the man

I actually wouldnt mind if we dont go the big selection panel this time round for senior coach appointment. Those have mixed results. Can get group think.

Even if its just Wright deciding Id be ok with that. One elite decision maker tops a group of average ones.

You will be fine, I was getting decent wi-fi in Bishkek a decade ago. See if you can catch some Buzkashi (Central Asian "polo"). Give the beshbarmak soup dish with horse kazy (sausage) a try. Enjoy and let GW clean house

Although I do agree with you, didn't work well for when we picked up Mick Malthouse.

Completely different scenario, we were broke when Malthouse came over. We couldn't afford anything to move the needle.

August 15 date make so much sense. Start of round 23. With our game against Essendon probably being on the Thursday or Friday night following that date so they can fit the Gold Coast game in. You’d expect changes flowing straight after our Essendon game
