Brisbane is Closer to Melbourne, than it is to Cairns.Peter Yagmoor in detail
Peter Yagmoor is a skillful left footer from Morningside. Peter started his football career in Cairns but recently moved to Queensland.....
LOL!
Big move from Cairns to Queensland!
I've known Peter since he was a little kid running around the club rooms when I played footy with his dad. Even as a young kid people would allways be amazed by how he seemed to glide over the ground. He probably had better skills than most seniors at the club by the time he was 12. You've got yourselves a good footballer there, and a great person. Half his family live in Melbourne so he'll have plenty of support. Even though they are Carlton people to the death expect to see a large amount of " Lebanese flavoured " support for him when he gets his first game.

Above everything I have read about these players qualities as footballers, it is their personalities, what they have said and how they have said it in their interviews that has really impressed me.
Seem to both (Elliott) have very grounded, well balanced heads on their shoulders. Confident yet humble. Keen to work hard and expect to work hard. Good kids with the right attitude.
Yagmoor doesn't seem to have any issues with moving to Melbourne at all either which bodes well for longer term homesickness (also prolly helped that he has boarded at school too).
Completely agree with this, I was pretty impressed by it.He has an awkward kicking style but he disposes of it so quickly! He hits it low and flat too which gives his kicks good distance.
I was most impressed though with his ability to read the play in tight, win the ball and clear with clever handpasses. With Pendles, Beams, J Thomas and now Yagmoor that is some serious quality when it comes to handballing.
His go, tackling and contested marking were all highlights too. There is a lot to work with there.
Oh and while he wasn't lightening fast he was hardly slow either.
Kicking action reminded me of Suckling fwiw
Completely agree with this, I was pretty impressed by it.
To me, he seems like a harder but less classy version of Pendlebury. Able to make good judgement calls in packs and like Pendles, the way he runs (almost glides) makes him look "slow" but in fact has a decent pace.
That was great. He spoke really well and seems to have thrived post AFL. Sounds like he looks back on his time at Collingwood positively. Tony Armstrong looks like he could do well in the media judging by that clip. He was a good mate of a sons friend as they were at Assumption College together so used to hear a bit about the Pies from that link. My sons friend was always pretty positive about how Tony saw his Collingwood time.I found this recent interview of Yagmoor on Yokayi Footy and it's great watch.
