Having to come off for 5-10 minutes every match to get his heel re-strapped has me thinking he's carrying a rather bad niggle.

He's not exactly blessed with speed but he has looked slow out there and opposition half backs are just waltzing it out.
If he’s not right I’d rather they just rest him for a few weeks - if his form was good then okay - but similar to Sicily - him playing through an injury is just hurting the team… We’ve got guys ready at Box Hill to come in, that’s what they’re there for…

Exactly. How much do we actually lose with playing a BH player who is playing at 100% vs our stars playing at 70%.

I called for him to be dropped this week after a poor patch of form. So glad Sam didn't. Whilst others took the lime light Moore stood up and showed how brilliant a leader he is. Captained us well and set the right tone early with his pressure.
I called for him to have a spell as well but only because like a few others I feel he may be carrying a niggle or two. His two way running is something special. When he’s on point and up and running I reckon that’s when the team is at its best. The barometer.

Backed it up again with another inspirational game, that's the Moore that we luv to see playing.
Thirteen tackles reeks of effort & commitment 👏
Hopefully we get to see this every game & into finals. Fantastic response from one of our leaders

Was reading Konrad Marshall's book Yellow and Black where he was behind the scenes at Richmond during the 2017 season, when I got up to a segment where he is talking to one of the recruiters, whom described his biggest mistake as not selecting Lachie Neale due to being put off by his height despite having a knack for getting inside ball. Instantly I thought of this guy whom had slid in the draft due to his height, what observations have people made so far of his pre season if any?
Looking back this was an excellent call.

Saw somewhere this 4yr to 2030 contract was mentioned in gettable today, but buggered if I'm going to try and scrub through it to find it.
Took one for the team and scrolled through until Hawks jumpers appeared in the overlay and then listened from that point on. Said nothing of note other than club is working on getting Moorey to sign on for four years as mentioned above. Said Worps will either stay or go to Geelong. You all owe me.

As mentioned again today on AFL.com Hawks are in talks to lock away Dylan Moore on a four-year deal that would see him sign through to 2030.

Hoyney last night was saying that Moorey is our man in terms of most important. When he gets 20 and a goal or two, we rarely lose. Liked seeing him through the midfield lately, and seems to be over his heel injury from earlier in the year. Gun.
Didn’t hear Hoyney but agree that Moore is a strong barometer of team performance

He is our best link up player between mids and forwards

Has had periods this season where he has been heavily tagged and battled form and injury

But his past month he has been on 🔥

So true about Dyl. No coincidence his last three Adelaide Oval outputs have been losses.

I haven’t read this entire thread, so apologies if this has been covered previously, but are in the process of transitioning Moorey from a goal-sneak small forward into a full-blown midfielder? The mind boggles.

And it’s not like we’ll miss him desperately up forward, with our wealth of talent in that department…

I love him as the link up mid, just works so hard through the contests and forward. You can’t not defend him either

He was an All Australian under 18 Ruck rover during his draft year.

He was an All Australian under 18 Ruck rover during his draft year.

Hence why he slipped to pick 67, because he was 5'8 and weighed about 60kg playing midfield.

The fact he became an All Australian level small/high half forward is a testament to his footy IQ and general commitment as an athlete.

4 Moore years! Signed up until 2030
Prime time the next 4 years, getting our ducks in a row.

Moore has been first class in leading from the front. It’s interesting comparing his career to Ginny but I see Ginny slowly working into the midfield as well in time.
