Won the 2km time trial at the combine. Is he quick?
Merrets disposal skills are elite, hopefully this young bloke can get to that level. And yeah lol not for 4 freaking firstsLove the Merrett comparison …… which didn’t cost us 4 1st’s!
valid point on his skills by foot. From what I have seen of him, I would suggest when he has the space and he knows he does his skills are good. Typically these inside mid likes just like to get ball to foot, hopefully jack can gain spacial awareness and that will help with his skills.I hate to rain on the parade, but judged on highlights alone that I just viewed he seems to mung the footy forward by foot a bit. Kicks and moves around the contest like Tom Mitchell. Having said that he can obviously run and find the pill so MM wouldn't have made that move without great reason so in sleepy mark i trust. Good luck Jack, and welcome to the Hawks. This is a real flip of the coin selection on a mid that I hoped that we took tonight. Optimistic but skeptical at the same time. We didn't give up much in a weak draft so well worth a shot at the dartboard. Could be a bullseye by all means but just concerned with the hack kicking under pressure from what I just saw and seemed to lack penetration as well.
Hard to handball with broken wrists!Allergic to handballing by the looks of the highlights. Lots of potential though.
I’m getting Lachie Neale vibes from the vision. Similar height too
Agree. He's an average kick.I hate to rain on the parade, but judged on highlights alone that I just viewed he seems to mung the footy forward by foot a bit. Agree. He's an average kick.
Has other solid traits though
Doing weights.Work on his kicking and woweee.
How the **** do you break both arms/wrists, he must of been training hard
never heard of him before today, expected to have gone pick 30-50, we must have wanted him badly enough if offered pick 34. Having said that few months ago Nairn was expected to go much later, then the shock he was going to taken with pick 12, we got him.I like this pick alot. Like him in the early 20s. Natural ball winner and elite endurance
