Back problems

Smart jokingly said would be his last year as he played badly last week and Reidy shook his head at him at training.
Thats a huge blow for us. Welshy didnt even look injured last game, he kicked three goals.
This bloke has been really unlucky with injuries, especially at this time of the season when injuries count.

He better change his weight lifting technique, cos obviously he is doing it wrong.

Thats twice in 2 weeks he has strained his back.

As a last option, KEEP HIM OUT OF THE BLOODY WEIGHT ROOM!!!!!!

Damn Welshy just can't take a trick. Hope its only the week. Also, our forwards better keep up the pressure on their defenders in his absence. Tends to go down a cog when he's not leading by example.

I smell a rat here..........I can't believe a player with his injury history is doing anything on the track or in the weights room that is putting more pressure on his body......perhaps the real story is the groin injury he's had now for nearly 2 years..& his obvious inability to recover fully.
I can understand the club not telling the full story........one only has to listen to the ever changing injury reports about Stevens to know we are the masters at media management.

That has been very noticebale this years

In previous years I don't think we have done taht

I think its wrong for the club not to tell the truth (if that is what's happening)

Its the supporters who suffer, ie we won't make stupdi predcitions if we know half of our forward line won't play again this year.

Stevo's rib injury in particular is a very hard one to judge as it's extremely easy to re-injure just when you thought it was getting better. But it's clear even with that one that they are taking a very optomistic view.

Robran said yesterday that Stevo has had "a very difficult season" and I'd assume the club make there return estimates each week based on no setbacks which is fair enough.

I'd like to think the club are just giving out the optomistic return dates from injury, rather than lying.

Macca came back from the knee arthroscopy (?) as they said he would and Goodwin came back from the wrist two weeks sooner than predicted.

Welsh is a mystery. Whatever the reason he certainly appears to be one of those blokes whose body is not quite up to it week in week out, bit like Hird.
