Re: Were number 1

Pet memberships are an untapped source of revenue, particularly pet birds. Budgies and cockatiels could be made 'Honorary Eagles' and be given a little mirror for their cage with a semi-transparent image of Auzzie printed on the mirror!

That sounds good, but Leroy doesn't have a cage.

Re: Were number 1

It's all well and good having more members BUT I have been an 'in the wings' member for several years now with ( it seems) little prospect of a proper membership anytime soon:(
The recently elected State Government aren't the slightest bit interested in even upgrading Subi, never mind a new stadium so we can have a really strong membership base:confused:

Doesn't look good does it? From what i heard the liberals made such a big song and dance about the money it would cost to build a new stadium and labour wastage etc that it is hard to see them being able to go back on it without losing face massively. Despite the fact it is obvious that we are going to need a new stadium in WA and there is unlikely to be a cheaper time to do capital works in the next 10 years with labour and material costs at a decade low. So short sighted.

Re: Were number 1

Not really necessary to post this as unless your a complete idiot that takes everything literally you would obviously understand what was meant.

Don't agree. I also get very irritated with people who don't use "your" and "you're" correctly.:p

Now, this is the biggest puff piece, propaganda load of s$%# that I have ever seen. 53k members, want more and will give you, wait for it........a resounding $10 off you're membership for getting someone else to sign up and sit on the pine for 7-10 years, whoopdee do!:thumbsd:

Re: Were number 1

Wish we had a stadium that could fit everyone. Would be great to play a derby with 80,000 fans cheering.

That would be awesome, its a shame that the stadium became a political issue. I think WA would have the resources and money to build a stadium that rivaled the MCG.

I agree, anything that improves the basic spelling and grammar standards around here must be good.

Well I think your an idiot and probably don't know you're own head from you're ass.

:P

Lolz

I thought that our supporters are bunch of fair weather chardonnay sippers that will abandon the club as soon as we have a poor season or two!

Did someone forget the script?

I wish. Just need about 10,000 seated members to throw in the towel and then maybe I can get a seat.

My concern is that the Eagles risk loosing a generation of supporters through the inability to cater for the current supporter base. This is a real shame as my kids and many others will lose interest very quickly.

You can already see our poor cousins reaping the benefits!

WA doesn't need anything like 100,000. Melbourne barely needs it either.

What people fail to realise is that those last 30,000 seats are pretty shit. Even the last 15,000 seats at Etihad aren't great

70k would be nice. 60k would be satisfactory.

The problem with Subi though is that the last 30,000 seats there are also pretty shit.
