What an unbelievable gutsy win! :D :D :D :D

The start was simply amazing but I was LIVID that we let Collingwood get back in the game. When they were 15pts up with 10mins to play I was very depressed...

But what an unbelievable fightback - pure guts! Like a lot of you I was pretty excited when Embers goaled but Brauny's pearler had me leaping like a maniac through the lounge room - punching the air and spilling beer everywhere! YYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

Brilliant team effort - these are the real Eagles - never give in! All hail the mighty Woosha!!

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Brauns goal was magnificent and topped off what I felt was a pretty good game from him today. Very workman like effort with lots of pressure to his own, and other players opponents, and lots of hard stuff

good one.

I've never been on another team's board before but.. I was knocked out by the West Coast fans .......what a din over the TV!...good work by those at the game....you were almost louder than the Pies which is no mean feat given their numbers.
I am sure when things were down you helped them get over the line.
Congrats!

All i can say is what a win!. For the second and third quarter i was very worried our forward line couldnt do it, we didnt have that presence that we needed to take the big marks inside 50. But from this Woosha worked around it. I still think we need SOMEONE (wilson, lynch, gaspar(when fit) jako(when fit) doogs etc) up there as a focal point, but with what we had today it was great. First quarter we were unstoppable but once collingwood stifled our run i thought we were in trouble. But today WCE truly DID earn respect, we are up there again, back where we belong and BOY does it feel great!

Woosha, Cous, Gards and EVERYONE ELSE you are ********* champions!

Were we lucky to get off without a tall imposing target up front today??????

Will we get a Wilson or Lynch in the next game???

Congrats to de boyz and a finger to the pies fans who thought we were soft all week calling us Wet TOast and a pat to the back of Licuria and Buckley and Rocca for their efforts.

Anyone going to tomorrow's game between Freo and Saints, the battle of the early draft picks?

In 2001:

they said we couldn;t kick a winning score
they said we would win a spoon
they said our veterans were past their best...cough mcintosh the best full back at the moment.
they said we can't win away.
they said we were going DOWN
they said our only good player was Cousins

In 2002:

Finals action
Top eight finish
Fear of Subiaco Oval
Veterans play some of their best football
7th in attack
2 away games
Judd, Kerr, Cousins, Gardiner, Matera, Sampi, Jakovich, McIntosh, Chick, Wirrupunda.....not a lot of good players are there????

In 2003 so far:

top 4 at the moment
3 home wins(Port Adelaide, St Kilda, Geelong)
3 away wins(Melbournce, Collingwood, Fremantle)
1st in attack

Judd, Kerr, Cousins, Gardiner, Matera, Sampi, Jakovich, McIntosh, Chick, Wirrupunda............pure class

I think everyone has to remember that Woosha coached the exact same team in 2002 as KJ did in 2001. It says alot for his coaching ability imo, it also says alot about our boys before Woosha came to the club ( were they lazy, lacking confidence?)
I suppose it doesnt even matter anymore because whatever the problem was, its fixed now.

interesting bout the guernies, last time the eagles wore their home guernies was in the Wizard Cup game 2 round 2 Subiaco Oval against Richmond, both sides made really bad mistakes all because of a stripe "clash".

Hope we never see the ochre again, ever....ever....ever

Maybe Woosha's ability to be honest and upfront made the players wake up to the realities of AFL football....if u can't perform u got to understand ur not good enough to play AFL football...he used the same line before our game against Melbourne.

Respect, who could not respect Woosha???????

If Woosha couldn;t bring out the best out of the eagles he might have to pull on the guernsey and show em how to play with passion.

Gardiner earns 450,000 a season...he's practically doing the job of two men he should be earning 900,000 a season!!!!!!

I noticed three nice stats bout Gardiner combinations

Gardiner - Cousins ruck combination #1 in AFL
Gardiner - Fletcher ---can't remember maybe #5
Gardiner - Judd #14 in AFL
'
What do u reckon guys???????

I barely noticed Judd as a centre clearance player but it seems he's been running the lines and opposition players ragged like hell
3 goals today was sweet, too bad he hasn't kicked more than 3 goals, 11 goals for the season so far.

plus check my wallpapers out please.....

Exactly, Usually I have a hard time understanding how athletes can get payed so much money but Gardi is an exception to the rule. He plays like a champ, give his all and is entitled to the luxurys that a 450 thousand dollar salary can give you!

each wallpaper is around 250kb in size hence explaining the difficulty with links - I set the jpeg quality quite high.

have you tried downloading it by using the "save target as" when u right click with the mouse?

I don't agree. How can athletes can paid such huge sums of money, plus sponsorship, for playing a game most of us would play free. Who on here wouldn't go and play for an AFL club for free if given the opportunity?

Yeah, I know its got to do with market value and the player contributions to their clubs assists in profit making, but it just doesn't seem fair (and then you look at people like Tiger Woods, David Beckham, Michael Schumacher, every NBA player, etc and it makes me sick. Tiger Woods even has the balls to ask for exorbitant appearance fees, you would think making $100mln a yr at his age would satisfy anyone).

And no, I'm no a commi ;)
