Draft Review West Australian Junior Talent 2025 Draft

That's good to know. I was hoping that would be the case with the 2007 DOB talent we have plus the usual over agers, who influence the competition immensely as you know. Plus some 2008 guys. 2026 might surprise me. I've elevated Garrison Kenh up the list. That kid is a star.
Kenh has some moves for sure. One of the best candy sellers I've seen tbh, great athlete and sweet left foot. Really hope he continues to develop well, obviously being a WC fan

He is but what about Lachlan McGlade he was east perths best i thought.
That kid is top 5 pick next year, just as good as Kako and the wizard
He makes you stand on your feet wondering how he did it
I rate him mate......he's in the top 10.......I need to update that thread soon. It's a power packed 2026 top 15 and then I feel it drops off a bit but already a whole bunch of below agers are getting game time and who knows how good they could be. I can't wait until round one when I can watch every game and get more info!

Has anyone here seen much or anything of Djayvian Narrier?

I watched him play for the flying boomerangs last year, didn't know who he was at the time, just looked to have bucket loads of natural talent. He moved around like Rankine out there

Found out a couple of months ago he's a WC nga player. 2027 draft, so still very young

What do you guys think of Luke Hallett (EP/PSA)? I'm on the Hallett bandwagon but nobody else is on board yet. I have him top 10 WA 2025 at this stage.

I thought the EP guys were alright but I think you forget my favourite beast from the 2008 group got a head knock late in the 1st quarter & never returned. Might of been different if he played the whole game.

Who is that?

Who is that?
Lucas Robinson. You know I’m biased towards my boys but EP mids were very quiet in Q1 when he was there. Also I’m surprised that EP small forwards are mentioned considering the BOG for SF was their back pocket Harvey Mc. I really like him as a player but the back pocket tends not to get attention compared to the mids.

You don't need to convince me about Lucas mate Haha.....I think he is a potential number 1 selection in 2026 if the Vics dare to open their eyes. I don't want to be too hard on the Vics on this website because some are very open minded.

McCrystal I've not seen yet but by the end of round 1 and 2 I will get up to speed and will have seen him enough to know.

Comprehensive! Nice work mate. I tip of the hat to these guys.
I'm rapt to see Luke Hallett (EP), Dale Sutherland (P), Darcy Montgomery (S), Luke Carrello (EF) get a mention.

In fact, the only guy I can think of who wasn't mentioned (Or was he?) was Oscar Willis from the mighty Monts and maybe Marcus Cassidy from the Royals.

Yeah, they seemed pretty thorough.

Question regarding Koby Evans though. They said he's a small forward, pushing up into the midfield but I've heard one of the blokes on our board mention he's grown to 187cm and is playing mid this year.

Is this confirmed, do you know?

Yeah that's true. Spending lots of time mid. He could be a big riser in 2025.

Just wondering why Will York from Peel has gone off the radar ,a lot like Marcus Cassidy has.Apparently he’s had a great preseason and has forced his way into the WAFLs premiership team in preseason games.A pretty big effort and a strong chance to start the season in their league team.Thoughts on why he seems to not be in draft talks

Lots of what I might describe as double over agers (Jan-June 2006 DOB) listed in the colts squads in the football budget for round one. Some I understund, some I don't. Looks like Subi are pushing their overagers into the seniors.

Height is the issue I'd say.

Would like to see him become a permanent small forward.

Great to see that of the BF WA 2025/2007 DOB top 50 (55) only

Luke Hallett (EP)
Charlie Banfield (CL)
Judd Marcello (WP)
Ivan Starr (SF)
Kael Wallace (EP)
Will Malajczuk (CL)

cannot be accounted for. Every other player is named this weekend - although Luke Carrello (EF) is the first emergency for the Sharks league side and they have a reserves and colts bye.

So we should see 48-49 of the best WA 2025 draft prospects in round 1 this weekend and who knows how many new stars will be unearthed.
