I just looked at the West Coast team and for such a dominant team the lack genuine goal kicking forwards, they have Lynch and Hansen and Wirrpanda is handy up forward but besides that they rotate midfielders through there forward line and players like Chick, Jones and Waters. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas how to exploit this. Could we really open this game up to a shootout, focus on stopping goals from their midfield, going one on one and backing our defenders to stop their forwards, then use the run through the midfield to get the ball to the skipper and the rest of our forwards who are in form (bypassing Miller!).

I don't see many West Coast games, but they always seem to kick enough goals to get over the line.

Lynch is underrated, and very capable of kicking a bag if Carroll doesn't do something about it.

A shootout would be great to watch, but I shudder to think how it could work out - comparing our recent skill level comapred to the Weagles.

Godder's, is that godfrey or goddard? coz im sure goddard is injured.

We are definitely weak in the forward line, but our midfield makes up for it.

Yeah they were real weak today.

Lynch had what 12, 13 shots on goal??? Staker and Hansen dominated and Wirra, Morton and Juddy all chipped in with 3 each.

The idea of the post was to see if anyone had any ideas how to exploit there lack of dominant forwards, it did rely on some midfield pressure and the forwards at the other end doing something. As I posted, Lynch and Hansen are good forwards and Wirra is handy, Judd got goals from the midfield and Staker and Morton played forward in a team that one by 11 goals. The post might be more handy when asked to Geelong, Adelaide or Bulldogs supporters who's team are going somewhere this year.

That there is our real weakness at the moment, accuracy. Lynch kicked 5.7, Staker 1.5, Judd 3.3.

Hopefully it is something that they can turn around as not putting scoreboard pressure on the opposition hurts us time and again.

Hasn't hurt us once this year yet. Would've lost last week had we kicked 15.5 or 16.4anyway.
