Final two are must wins now friends. Two sides undefeated with the same number of games in hand above us puts us a game behind. :(
Luckily we finish off against two fairly rubbish teams.

THE ROAD TO THE WALLY

Over the next week, we will take a moment to reflect on some of the most dominant on-field performances for WA during Series XVI, as we profile the leading contenders for the prestigious Wally Medal.

Affectionately named after inaugural WA State of Origin squad member wce_all_da_way, it is awarded to the most outstanding player for WA in a Sweet FA State of Origin series.

There are a number of WA players who have already made a big splash and announced themselves in Series XVI, with the road to the Wally promising to be a entertaining contest between some of the competition's brightest stars.

Stay tuned. :thumbsu:

Metalcrusher - Ruck
‘Crushy’ has made a solid start to his Series XVI campaign for WA, leading the team in hitouts with 18, which has him currently sitting 2nd in the competition despite the bye in Rd 3.

After being shifted off the ball in Rd 1, he responded magnificently in Rd 2, as he dominated the stoppages to record a whopping 16 hitouts, the most in a single game by any ruck for Series XVI to date.

Couple that with 21 disposals and a pair of goals in a near best afield performance, and the Bears firebrand looks set for a dominant display in his second State of Origin series for WA.

Expected to shoulder the ruck responsibilities throughout the remainder of the tournament, Crushy is certain to contend strongly for the Wally, especially if he can repeat his Round 2 heroics in Rounds 4&5 as we push for an overdue finals berth.

METALCRUSHER - $3

Metalcrusher has already shown strong form in Rounds 1 and 2, as well as being the highest poster in both matches.

The rumours spreading around WA about being a hit with the ladies has not harmed his cause.

He is clearly a strong contender for the Wally and ChippyBet has factored that into his odds.

If by 'hit with the ladies', you mean they remain deathly silent while they're driven out to an undisclosed location in a secluded national forrest against their better judgement in his hilux, then yes, he's a real 'hit with the ladies', if you know what I mean. 😉

The ladies I spoke to said that was the best date they've ever had.

Sure.

It's all here.

Kylie is a lovely name, takes me back to when I was finger ******* a chick in year 10. Took her out in my Hilux … into the forest ….. and smashed box. She is now 41 years old and divorced.

No happy ending here.

THE ROAD TO THE WALLY

Barrybran - Midfield
Baz has been in scintillating form so far in Series XVI, leading a star studded WA midfield with such league heavyweights as the skipper, the WA & Dragons FFC legend Ljp86, as well as the East Side Hawks skipper and perennial All-SFA selection Agent93 to name a few. After two rounds, Barry has led all comers for disposals for WA with 49 at an average of 24.5 per game, seeing him sitting 6th overall in the competition.

A consistent performance across both games of the series so far would almost certainly have him sitting comfortably as the clubhouse leader as we head into Round 4. With his 26 possession, 9 tackle effort in Rd 1 the standout of the two, he can consider himself unlucky if he’s not sitting on 10 votes after the two games, with only a special effort from BAT in Rd 1 looking likely to pinch votes off him.

Not only leading WA for disposals, he is also currently ranked #1 for tackles with 16 and sports an impressive average of 93 DT points per game for the series.

Baz looks to remain a fixture in the engine room for WA as we charge towards the final in the last two rounds, and would be a safe bet to take out the Wally in his third State of Origin series for WA.

BARRYBRAN - $1.90 (fav)

Barrybran 's stats make him a worthy favourite.

As well as his performances around the ground, he is also a leading contributor in the threads.

Weaknesses? The fans love him, but they need to come up with a better poster than "Will You Barry Me?".

Great win, Black Swans!! The first quarter was quite a tussle but we got on top of our opponents in the second and third quarters to hold a strong lead at three quarter time. From there, the last quarter was a nice cruise to the final siren to finish with a fairly comfortable win.

I thought it was a fairly even performance overall although omgfridge, TheInjuryFactory, guero, Matera92 and @Timmycash were our team's most prominent players. Awesome to get the win which sets up a big game in the final round against the Allies. :thumbsu:

Go Black Swans!! :thumbsu:
