What a disgrace

Preparing for another barrage of threads typical after a loss. I am in no way happy with the performance but won't it be nice to see 50-odd threads of how Craigy should be sacked and everyone who was praised last week being offered up as possible delistings.

Sorry, I'm very annoyed at everything now.

Sadly this will almost definitely be the case.

Today's lost was awful but the overreactions on this board are hard to stomach sometimes. One loss and everyone jumps on the club trying to get a kick in.

it is the realities of a young team that form yo yo,s but it is still frustrating o watch a team beat itself

Agree and was just going to say the same thing.

So, no criticism warranted then?

dropping daivs was a mistake he would have matched up on westoff perfectly, still our goal kicking reminded me of earlier in the year, we could of won by 5 or more goals if we could kick a set shot.

Of course, they lost a match they clearly should have won. On a stupid but simplistic level, all it needed to be won was to kick half the easily kickable goals missed. But anyone who thinks the problem was one simple thing - poor goal-kicking, coaching, player selection, kids, lack of leadership - take your pick - is fooling themselves.

It will be just as obvious to them as it is to us that they were not switched on in ALL these areas - solving that will be the challenge.

Of course there is but do we need it in every thread?
The fact is, younger players do have some sort of inconsistency, plus other variables that may or may not be known at this stage.

I was very dissapointed, I never really say this about the Crows, but there were a few players out there today that didn't go anywhere near hard enough at the ball. We looked soft, scared and unable to handle any sort of pressure. I saw players going in at the contest with one hand rather than putting the body behind it, there were many more weak attempts. Was not happy.

The loss I can handle the effort not so much.

Hey, we win, we talk about how and why we won. We lose, we do the same. You guys want to stomp on these discussions before they're even had. Sure, some responses will be stupid and reactionary. But a lot will be informative.

I didn't see the game, so I'm interested in the observations of those who did. Were we just not hard enough at it today? Why? How did our structures look with the ins and outs? Was Bock a dumb inclusion? Did Porps earn his spot in defence? Did Tippett have the flu? Could Craig have made some moves that changed the shape of the game? etc etc

You want to answer all those questions with 'oh well, youngsters, up and down you know'. Sorry, doesn't do it for me. Let's have all the chat and take the bad with the good.

Absolutely disgraceful performance, complete and utter disgrace.

Shocked at how pathetic we were today, showed no passion, none of our players wanted it. Second at the ball all night, lazy, and this shocking performance started at the selection table with the axing of Davis.

One of our worst nights ever. :thumbsd:

All night I was just asking for a bit of effort, for the boys to really put in and show the game meant something. Didn't come, I kept waiting, still didn't come. Pathetic.

Was Johncock hittin' the bars pre-game or something? Worst game of his career. Bock was ready to play eh? :D Porps in defence? :D Armstrong on our list, or was that Jacky tonight? :D

The criticism is more than justified.

We have just watched our team piss away an excellent chance to improve their chances of playing finals footy against an inferior opposition who simply wanted it more than us and can kick straight for goals, and you want nothing said?

Bullshit!!!

I don't normally join in but I will tonight.

No intensity, and couldn't kick goals that amateurs could.

Armstrong and Jaensch shat themselves on most occasions. Not the type of footy I like to see in our club.

Outcoached. Port set the agenda of how the game was to be played and we allowed them to dictate it that way.

There's heaps to criticise.

Now tell me out there all you naysayers to criticism - what would you like to preaise about our efforts today and the fact that we lost to a team where 9 consecutive other teams didn't??

That was one of the softest dispalys i've seen put out from a Crows side. To many blokes made pathetic attempts to attack the ball and make contests. They deserve a good old rocket. Sloane, Danger, Thompson, Doughty at least you know these 4 will give a hard contest and always try their best.

Walkers goal kicking was shocking and went a long way to losing us the game, BUT he was our only target up forward and looked very dangerous, he is improving every match. His defensive work was down today, but it was hard for him with Chaplin soooo loose. He is starting to take more and more contested grabs and leads very cleverly.

I just wanted to add a positive aspect to the game and this seemed like an ideal place by quoting the quote I did. By putting the same negative thing in 2 or 3 threads is just repeating yourself. The answer you are looking for are most definitely in other threads. Sorry.

How is it possible to lose to a mob of deadset spuds. This is an embarrassment beyond belief.

God we missed Goodwin. Better he finish now, now that finals should be off the agenda, and see who wants to step up as the director of operations on the field.

Westspud 4 goals?! Ha ha ha ha *facepalm*

Can anyone explain why we usually play like crap against this mob of desperadoes? They are simply incapable of beating other teams, yet we inevitably hand it to them time and time again. Ha ha ha, ya gotta laugh at yourself.

I'll see you that and raise you this. - Davis overlooked for an underdone, overweight, slow Bock. FFS.
